Well the article says we want to work a sign an trade with Memphis since Memphis can give him a more reasonable contract for his asking price. If that doesn't happen we will just outright sign him to an offer sheet which Memphis will most likely match. Again, this doesn't look good for the Rockets. Any news I hear about them I will not be getting my hopes up.
Definite possibility, it makes sense to put that out there in order to thwart others from driving up the price. Word is that he was already offered 5 years at around 60 mil by the Grizz earlier in the week. If thats the case, the Rockets offer trumps that on a yearly basis. Now to see whether the Grizz choose to increase there yearly amount or tell him that their current offer stands. Also worth noting is the Rockets did not offer the max as many of you have suggested as his max contract is 5 yrs 74 mil which breaks down to a yearly salary that is more than that of the Rockets offer.
! WORD!!! and helping lakers building there empire..while we loose and gon end up being the worst team in Nba...
Grizzlies fans are thanking us.... - They say they will match and marc can finally go to traning camp - they are happy because they would have had to offer more later
! same here..isn't it barely anything to do there? and Toyota Center is nice and Got couple good places he can go to =) lol
All common knowledge points to the Grizzlies matching any offer and not working on a S&T. BUT: Marc had a better contract offer by the Grizzlies laying on the table since friday. If he wanted to be a Grizzlie OR if he wanted just the money, he would have already signed. There is a good possibility, that he would like to play somewhere else next season. I am pretty sure that is why Morey is actually in talks with the Grizzlies here. So it`s still a slim chance - but there is a chance.
Plan A: Do a S&T with Memphis and pay Gasol > than $44 million over the next 4 years. Plan B: Do Memphis a favor by getting Gasol to sign a 4 year deal for only $44 million which they will 100% match. Gasol is better than Jordan. He's also cheaper than NeNe.
! Oh yeah!? tell them we'll sha'll see its up to marc also. I don't think he wanna stay part of him do but he probaly wanna leave also. to diffrent team.

Morey's plan is to gain the asset of good karma by helping others out. In the future he hopes to cash it in for ourselves.
