Not as a player fool. As far as a professional, humble, and hard working. That is what people should think of the Rockets. Professional, humble, and a hard working franchise.
I gotta feel for Morey. I feel like just giving him a hug right now and hope things work out for him. The man has gone through so much these last 3 weeks.
Y! Sources: As Boston and David West come down to wire on completing deal, Indiana waits to swoop and steal him. http://tinyurl.com/carkurz
Just skimmed through the rest of this thread. I swear if we got rid of the posts that were just duplicate tweet copy & pastes, we could get it down to 10 pages. On the positive side, it looks like I didn't miss much. *yawn*.
I asked Feigan if a move for Dalembert was likely and he replied that he has no idea where the Rockets are at this point and they need serious regrouping. SMH.
Ironically, the Lakers' trade of Odom to the Mavs actually may have put them in a BETTER position to work a trade for Paul. While I don't expect anything to come of it, I could envision the following scenario meeting the leagues demands for young players and picks: (1) Hornets S&T West to BOS for J.O'neal, Bradley and 2012 LAC 1st rd pick (2) Hornets flip O'neal's ($6.5M) contract to the Lakers, being absorbed into the Odom TPE (3) Hornets trade Paul to the Lakers for Gasol and two first rounders (Lakers got an extra pick from the Mavs) (4) Hornets flip Gasol to Houston for Martin, Scola, Dragic and the NYK pick New Orleans comes away with two high quality players (Martin, Scola), a couple of nice young guys (Dragic, Bradley) and FOUR first round picks (two of which have limited protection)! Why all parties aren't exploring this is beyond me!
Now. Left at about this time yesterday. Gonna leave soon here. Anyhow, left this time yesterday, came back in the morning, I was 40 pages back. Hopefully this gets locked or something in the next few hours.
Great thoughts except for the acknowledging the fact that Stern doesn't want Paul on the Lakers (Due to small market owners etc). DD
