Morey tried to trade with a team owned by the league right after the lockout where one of the main issues was competitive balance, if he didn't consider that Stern might overturn a deal, then he is not as smart as some of you think he is. The NBA said they wouldn't get involved in trades when they took ownership of the team, and now that's out the window. Also, the NBA apparently knew that this trade was in the works for months, and only at the last minute did they intervene and reject it, throwing a huge monkey wrench in our plans. Can't blame Morey if he's frustrated about that.
He has gotten fined a ton, Cuban knows exactly what he is doing. He has mistepped some...not signing Nash, but has built a solid team and franchise up there.
