No, he is just better at the game than the Rockets are these days......he may be the best at it, so you have to learn from him and then beat him at his own game.

How can you beat him at his own game when everyone is seemingly against you?

Morey got bamboozled by the Lakers, Stern, and Cuban.

Morey tried to trade with a team owned by the league right after the lockout where one of the main issues was competitive balance, if he didn't consider that Stern might overturn a deal, then he is not as smart as some of you think he is.

When you deal with the Devil you have to expect to get burned.

How did Cuban get burned when he complained to the NBA about reffing Yao "correctly" in the playoffs several years ago?

The NBA said they wouldn't get involved in trades when they took ownership of the team, and now that's out the window. Also, the NBA apparently knew that this trade was in the works for months, and only at the last minute did they intervene and reject it, throwing a huge monkey wrench in our plans. Can't blame Morey if he's frustrated about that.

He has gotten fined a ton, Cuban knows exactly what he is doing. He has mistepped some...not signing Nash, but has built a solid team and franchise up there.

Better than the Rockets (man that hurt saying that).....no need to hate on the guy, he has done a great job up there.

Don't you wish Les would have done a similar one?

dude shut up, youre an idiot....no one in the WHOLE league thought that...not boston, not LA, not the clippers, not the warriors...so many teams sent trade offers for paul...i guarantee NONE of them thought the NBA would interfere the way they did.

He didn't do anything better. Stern vetoed the trade.

No doubt, but can blame him for thinking they would change their mind...after they bailed on the first iteration.

Yeah, because he and other owners complained about it....you have to admit that was a brilliant move on his part to leverage the previous angst in getting the CBA done.

    I mean honestly, simply brilliant.

Yep, apparently Demps was in contact with NBA VP of Basketball Operations Stu Jackson and Adam Silver for months about this deal.

Yes, after a decade of highest payrolls and playoff failures, he got a ring riding Dirk's jock.

    Simply brilliant.

Stern ****ing told them they can resume talks!

Why else would the 3 teams re-engage in talks and spend countless hours working on a new trade?

Stern didn't negotiate in good faith during the CBA negotiations and he sure as ****ing hell didn't during these trade talks!

Seriously, are you shocked by that?

Stern is a class A mother ****ing Douche.....

Know that going in, you won't feel so violated when he jams his rod into the planet before Pluto and next to Neptune.

Stern told them he couldn't sell the Hornets with Odom, Martin and Scola on the books there.

Morey tried again to use the Hornets as a dump for his unwanted contracts.

Then don't criticize Morey for thinking that Stern would have the decency to negotiate in good faith!

I wish I had Stern as a GM. That is apparently what he's doing now.
