What's the point, he walks at the end of the season.

We are left with nothing. He wants LA or NJ.

Probably the most sensible post in this whole thread. Seriously.

At this point, I think this is right. We did everything possible to trade for an all-star and a dynamic big man, but it doesn't look like it's going to work. At this point, we should ship Martin and Scola out the door for picks and let Lee/ Twill and Patterson/Thabeet play more minutes to get experience and improve our draft position.

I was a fan of the initial trade, but this whole thing is just nuts and it is tough to see a scenario where a real difference maker wants to come here via free agency or trade over the next couple of years.

We could give up our entire team, and the sad truth is its still probably not enough.

Odom is a great player with a desireable contract. Lakers would never gift him to the team that swept them from the playoffs? Right?

That is a question I want answered.

This part makes no sense whatsoever. Why trade a good player to your rival?

The Hornets had delivered a reconstructed framework of the three-team blockbuster trade that would have sent Paul to the Lakers into the NBA office for approval Saturday, but the NBA still refused to approve it.

I can't believe Stern did this twice. He should block all trades if he is being fair.

Because he is up and down and unreliable, and will be declining soon, the Mavs may have a shot at a 2nd ring but then will have to deal with Odom's emotional decline going forward.

If the Lakers get Howard they will be much better than if they got CP3.

But the TPE generated in this trade would not be sufficient to swallow a bad contract off Orlando like Hedo Turkoglu.

I'm just sad I already paid for my half-season package.

I have better things to do.

Maybe, but more than likely this is just backlash from the CBA, they don't want to let CP3 go to the Lakers.

They would probably approve a move of his to the Clippers, and the Lakers would not sue...they could just say "Well, the Clippers gave us a more attractive offer".......

It is ugly, but transparent as hades.
