    Commissioner,

It would be a travesty to allow the Mavericks to acquire Lamar Odom in the apparent trade being discussed.

This trade should go to a vote of the 29 owners of the Hornets.

Over the next three seasons this deal would save the Lakers approximately 17.8932432 million in salaries and approximately $18.53243258 million in luxury taxes. That $18.53243258 million goes to non-taxpaying teams and to fund revenue sharing. Please note that was only an approximate figure.

I cannot remember ever seeing a trade where a team got by far the best asset in the trade and saved over $40 million in the process. And it doesn’t appear that they would give up any draft picks, which might allow to later make a trade for Dwight Howard. (They would also get a large trade exception that would help them improve their team and/or eventually trade for Howard.) When the Lakers got Pau Gasol (at the time considered an extremely lopsided trade) they took on tens of millions in additional salary and luxury tax and they gave up a number of prospects (one in Marc Gasol who may become a max-salary player).

I just don’t see how we can allow this trade to happen.

I know the vast majority of owners feel the same way that I do.

When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Cavaliers?

I'm in desperate need of the 800K from luxury tax dividends. I know you like to keep your cards close to your chest, but I already know you love nothing more than issuing a big wet juicy cockblock.

    Please advise….

Honestly, if Woj picks up the Lopez thing...that is the EXACT move the team should be trying to make. A young center (23) like Lopez is what we should have been after all along.

You definitely can. As long as no official deal has been reached, you can say whatever you want.

I'm afraid that the Rockets are the fat girl at the club willing to go home with anyone that will take them.

Yea thats what Im saying howard doesn't get a choice who he gets traded to. Orlando just wants the most they can get. If he doesn't resign big deal. We draft for the next couple of years. If he resigns then we can build around him. its a win win situation.

You can't blame Morey. The original trade was supposed to go through and everything else was contingent on that deal. You can only plan for some many scenarios before the crap hits the fan, aka Stern. And Jordan is not worth that money - all athleticism and nothing between the ears.

That's exactly how 95 percent of Clutchfans rate trades.

    Or FA signings like Nene...

With Gasol and maybe Nene we would've been a 5th seed at the worst. Now we're stuck in the 9th seed with this current roster. Morey is defintely trying his heart out.

You fail at life. If you can't grasp that deals are contingent on other deals and that some deals are preferential to others then you should just put on an adult diaper and wait for death. Sure, Morey could have put in a offer on a restricted free agent with no offensive skills like Jordan there. Do you want him on this roster now at $10 million a year?
