Well what are his options? NJ won't need him if they get Dwight, we can't afford him...

I don't see what else he can do.

    P.S.
Congrats on being a part of my 900th post!

    How come a Odom-for-nothing trade wasn't blocked? I just don't understand!

Because it doesn't involve the Hornets whom the NBA/Stern owns.

if this trade goes down, then it's a certainty that Gasol comes to houston, LA get a trade exception, most likely they get Scola instead of N.O. so N.O doesn't take on salary.

Also possibility that N.O sheds ariza's contract as well to houston or LA.

I hope we get Dalembert. Now that Dallas just got Odom, I dont know if they can afford Dalembert.

Funny thing is that this will all end up being a blessing in disguise for LA as CP3 declines throughout these next years and Lakers get Dwight.

The really incredible thing about this is that New Orleans was getting a lot out of the deal. Those are some very good players, and they were getting the pick, too. It's hard to see how anyone could say it wasn't a good basketball move for that team. Stern squashed it thinking it wasn't a good business move. So the business side took priority over the basketball side. And then his contract's up at the end of the season, so even the business end of it is shortsighted. Hard to figure.
