DD is RIGHT! Trade some of those guys for high draft picks. Next years draft is deep and that is what always should have been done. If that means you lose games? So what. Its a deep draft. Get a high pick. Maybe several. Take a few shots at a star and do a complete roster turnover if thats what it takes to get those picks.

Completely fair, I give you full credit on that. But my argument is that this could motivate him, as opposed to what everyone else seems to think, which is that he's going to be this depressed nuisance on the team. We're not talking about Aaron Brooks here, K-Mart is a professional. He'll get over the attempted trade, and he will continue playing the same type of game that we knew we were getting when we traded for him.
Dont like that one bit. The Gasol trade was so attractive because we'd be going from absolutely nothing in the middle to one of the best 4-5 combos in the league if we snagged Nene too as planned. Going from Lowry to Rondo just doesn't compare. Besides, I like pg's who can shoot. Don't forget how integral Kenny Smith was next to Olajuwon in winning us 2 championships.
No team will trade quality picks for Scola or Martin. We would have to suffer at least 2-3 losing seasons to compete now. Dwight will go the the Lakers, CP3 will go to the Clippers and Deron Williams will go where??? Maybe Dallas.
