What am I missing then? https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&...MDBlOS00Y2UwLWE5ZTItM2RkZTdjN2FmMzI4&hl=en_US 8.9(Odom)*1.25 = 11.1 (Hedo = 11.0)
Even if Rockets were to get Paul, he won't stay here...and it doesn't change the fact that our interior defense is a sieve.
Yeah but the Lakers are the only ones who were in a position to do that. They had the option of getting Howard, and even if they didn't they would not be desperately searching for a superstar like the Rockets.
He'll sue and win. And the league will settle with him for what he would have gotten in a new contract if he was traded and opted out and re-signed. He'll wind up with the same money but he'll have to move as a free agent. So, now he can't go to New York. He'll actually be able to make more by re-signing with New Orleans after winning his lawsuit. That will be the incentive for him to stay in New Orleans. I still don't think it will happen. I say he walks at the end of the season.
To those 2500+ who voted no, you now have your wish. The Rockets kept their .500 ballclub together and is now destined for another crack at a 14th pick in the draft. I bet you're all glad Stern allowed us to keep on our path of mediocrity for yet another year unimpeded.
He won't sue and he could not win. Legal action would have been to get the trade enforced. Now that the Lakers have pulled out, there is no trade to be enforced. And he has no legal basis to sue for damages. He doesn't even have a monetary damage.
Cuban & Gilbert screwed us! Remember all of azzclowns on this board who wanted us to root for the Mavs against Lebron in the Finals? Now Cuban gets Odom? WOW I freakin hate the Mavs!
I really don't think Martin will be a problem. He may have gotten his feelings hurt, but he'll come around.
