Latest update...Stern is conferring with Kim Jong Ill about the trade before he makes a final decision. Lets hope the commie communion turns out to be a win-win for the Rockets.
Well, that's a silly distinction. Also, the only time Dwight Howard has averaged 21 or more ppg was last season, was he not a true superstar till then? You can't measure a big man by the same quantity standards as a shooting guard.
Maybe not, but he's still Otis Smith. You know, the guy who traded Rashard Lewis for Gilbert Arenas (costing the Magic ~$30M). The guy who traded Marcin Gortat and a 1st for Hedo Turkoglu.
Their 'big' additions so far have been Devin Ebanks, Patrick Patterson, and Courtney Lee to the Hornets, with the Lakers taking back Jason Smith and Marcus Banks to reduce Hornet expenditures. The Lakers are also said to be looking to acquire a first round pick to offer to sweeten the deal, but they're not going to give up the farm when many believe they gave up too much already. http://ken-berger.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/11838893/33780584
Is it just me or does Ken Berger seem to have an agenda with regards to giving off this perception that Houston SHOULD be getting screwed harder? Thankfully he's the only unsubstantiated source spouting off this BS.
You say Gasol is very good not great (I very much agree, and on the wrong side of 30 to add) And in another thread you say other players won't join the team unless they ALREADY have star players on it. So how will the Rockets get Howard or KEEP Howard with no star players on it? Which do you do first, try get the SUPER star player on a team with nothing? Or try to get a solid plan B knowing the likelihood of superstar joining the team is like 0.5%?
