why would Magic give permission for Howards agent to talk to Mavs and not Rockets?

    Someone clarify why the Magic are only willing to trade him to these 3 teams ? I'd think we wold have more assets to give than a team like the Mavs. In addition why would the Magic only allow his agent to talk to 3 teams ?

    Maybe me told em he won't ever sign an extension to stay here and has no desire to play in Houston. Just my guess...

    Because they know they can trade him to the Rockets without him agreeing to an extension. It's that simple. They are getting Howard and his agent to do the dirty work and bring them the trade offers. They're going to go with the best trade offer. Period! They don't need howard to get the best trade offer from us. They know we are going to throw in all the chips and gamble on re-signing him after he gets here.

    I thought Morey was willing to roll the dice and trade for either CP3 or Dwight without an extension?

    If that's the case, the Magic should take whoever offers the best deal.

    they probably gave him permission to talk to teams he would consider that have assets they might want...
