Don't understand why so many of you guys don't want the Rockets to try to improve. Martin was only on this team to try to get Melo. Scola is a nice bench guy. Patterson is a classic 3/4 tweener. Dragic is nothing special, and the Rockets are bringing over Sergio next year anyway. If the Rockets give up all that for Gasol and Nene, count me as a fan that thinks his team will make a long playoff run.
I think with this new news that we need to cut out LA all together and nab Paul for ourselves. Where can he possibly walk too next offseason?
The one I am scared about being included is DMo. As much potential for a just turned 21 as anybody in the league. Added 20 pounds (240 now), seven foot, has already figured out rebounding out of his space and has been improving by leaps and bounds over in Europe. PPat is great, but his upside is dwarfed by DMo's.

I actually have no problem with trying to push LA out of the deal. We either force them to add Bynum to the deal or cut them out and have NO trade us CP3. If CP3 doesn't re-sign then you have a ton of cap space to work with.
Nene is going to sit around and wait for this mess to clear, i bet new jersey has already given him a deadline to sign.
