Kobe broke down. Artest was a negative and could not defend Durant at all. Odom was a 6th man. Derek Fisher was a triple negative.
Morris is not replacing Patterson. Morris is supposed to play the 3. Patterson is not a throw in player. We should either get more back or take someone out of the deal if we include Patterson and or Lee. Period, or Morey got screwed on the deal.
Is there actual insider rumor stating Patterson is part of the consideration? I don't have time to review 400 posts and 100 news stories to figure it out. If not, I would agree that Morey doesn't typically overpay, so why would he now? There must be more. This is just panic caused by a single tweet.
Stern is the one who decided for us to give up more so LA can get Chris Paul. This unethical and he should sued. Not by Paul. By the Rockets.
Shortest out of any pf drafted in first round http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-pre...l&sort2=DESC&draft=30&pos=4&source=All&sort=5
It were basically numerous tweets and reports saying we throw in more young assets that would go to NOH, some reports mentioned Pat or Lee as strong possibilities.
The Rockets need a legit front court!!!! Right now Hill, Thabeet, Patterson are in training, and potential get's GM's fired!! There have been love facinations with PF of the future: Othella Harrington, Carl Landry, Kenny Thomas, etc. Patterson is good and full of potential (# 6 on the draft board when he was drafted)... But Gasol and Nene are proven!!! Make the trade happen... too late to turn back.
Well, that`s basically what we are doing. With Gasol we have 3 quality years left max - and he is not our missing piece, he is the biggest piece, but we would need at least 2-3 more quality player before we can think about being contenders. Howard might be the most valueable player in the league - I´d be talking to him first of course, but if there is a chance he might sign an extension here (if we get the talent around him), I´d definetly bet the farm on him. If he leaves, tough luck, at least Stern will make the balls fall in our favor ;-). But it was worth a shot.
This is making me sick to my stomach. Why on Earth are we giving so much up for Pau freaking gasol, and at the same time potentially assisting the Lakers with creating a new dynasty? It makes no sense.
After what what I saw happened to Brandon Roy I am not so sure Chris will be the same player again. Good he drops 15 and 8 and 2 steals but that's not the once superstar level, not his best. He is nowhere as good as Lebron or Dwade. Howard indeed holds the key. I don't think this year matters so much to Daryl and the front office. I think they plan ahead in 2 or 3 years time span to be a contender. Just my two cents.
