Look Lakers cant make the deal without us. Its proven our assets get Chris Paul and not the lakers in this deal. So walk away and let them get nothing. We have the players to do this on our own deal for something better obviously. Without the Lakers.

As long as it is players like that I am fine. Lee and Patterson should be non-starters in the discussion.

That was almost exactly what uninformed fans of other teams said about Yao. Almost exactly. Learn from it.

If we get Nene, it's pretty obvious that he'd play C. That's where >90% of his minutes have come the last two years.

The Rockets drafted over Patterson with Morris. He's trade-able.

What's the saying: Go big or go home.

Having said that Lowry, Lee & Morris should be untouchable.
Budinger or Patterson (but not both) would be a tough pill to swallow.
T-Will, Flynn, Dragic or Jordan I'm fine with.

If that's so the case, then they shouldn't be getting CP3 at all... It should be US!! We have the assets to get CP3 AND D-12!! NOT LA!!!

Your statement that he is just a skinny dude in the paint with no ability to impose his will or alter shots is simply ignorance. He is no softie in the paint.

Actually, he wants to play PF - his natural position.

Pau will be playing the C, probably.

I know you were talking about having problems splitting PT to everyone.
We lose ourselves in piling up draft picks and young players, stashing them overseas but no results in those years. Year of mediocrity after year of mediocrity.
It's too much agreed but it's also better for everyone because you know the exact direction they are heading.
Having Gasol would attract wing players I would bet in the near future.

Morris will be a very good small forward. I would not put him at the 4.

Agreed. It depends on the players. The people jumping off the deep end without seeing the details are being ridiculous.

No stern vetoed the trade bcuz he believed, acting in the best interest of the hornets, that they could get a better deal with younger talent.

Lol, Tebow. Melo was "hyped" because several teams wanted to
build there franchise around him, including Houston. Don't forget
Denver was competing for the best record in the west a few years
back. I don't think it was because of KMart and Birdman. Melo has
more upside in his game than Gasol could dream about, if he wasn't
such an ass he might have won a ring. Didn't want Melo in Houston,
but really don't want Gasol. We are giving up way too much.
And Tebow will exposed this week if all is right with the world.

Patterson is one player that has a **** load of potential. We definitely do not want to trade him.

    Amen.

For the same reasons as well. They watched him once or twice before he had put on muscle and been "toughened" up and let that be their opinion.

Gasol has put on muscle and is a good player in the post.

Seriously - with what we have to give up, just take Chris Paul. Bet on him, that you can make him sign an extension. Because if you can`t, you need to build through the draft.

Trade Lowry, Scola, Martin for Paul, then Sign Nene and try to get a 2 or 3 guard. Make this team with Paul as competitive as possible - so that he can`t leave at the end.

I´d much rather have the disappointment of Paul leaving after one year, than overpaying Gasol by giving up too much pieces and than having to overpay Nene or another big men and still don`t be a contender...

He is not imposing as a shot blocking big.....no matter whether you think he is, he just isn't.
