We've collected assets for 3 years, for this very moment. There is no way replaceable bench players like Budinger/Hill hold up this deal at this point. Even Patterson which I love, and doubt will be included, is not untouchable. Might we overpay? Yes, and you DO IT. You close the deal, because every single one of those players Morey can easily replace which he has already done year after year. It is time to go all in.

Is Gasol really worth that much? I can understand if we try to unload Scola and Martin's contract on Hornets, but Gasol still has ton of money left on his contract also.

Say no Morey. Say no to giving up anymore. Lakers get Chris Paul with all of our assets. Not us. We get the second best player in Gasol and should not give up the most. Screw the lakers. I would rather screw us both over than just us to help the Lakers get its trio.

I wish you would get negative rep everytime you made a post that was basically a rewording of another post you'd made within 30 minutes of the new one.

We get it DADA. Morey isn't reading this, so you shouldn't be afraid that if you don't keep posting the same thing that he'll somehow miss it.

Because Gasol is a star:grin: I know most people think we won't be contenders with gasol and nene (which I don't understand), but you have to give them a chance. We have to take a gamble sometime, so why not now. When we finally got a move to make, people want to "stand pat." When we are stuck in mediocrity, we want to trade our assets for a star. Some people will never be happy

    I've never bought into that.

    Lakers/Kobe/Chris Paul/Dwight/Dynasty/Obnoxious Laker fans/Pissed off Shaq/More rings for Kobe

And we're helping to make it happen.

Softie meaning a guy who is not a physical presence not as in too afraid to play.

Someone like Gasol is not imposing at all, and people will still attack the basket.

Yao was someone that stopped that, maybe Thabeet will be too, but Gasol is just an inviting skinny stick dude in the paint.

Has it occurred to some of you that the Rockets might not mind giving up more "talent"? Trading Hill, for example, nets you $3 million more in cap flexibility. Even more for Flynn.

If those are the two (just a hypothetical), I think Morey could get more productivity out of $6.5 million than what Hill/Flynn will give this year.

I understand where you are coming from CX, but to me, Gasol is not an all in player.....CP3 would be but not Pau Gasol - especially a 31 year old Gasol....

Your obsession on players with "potential" is sickening.

Gasol played his BEST basketball season last year. You cant discount him just because he HAD ONE bad playoff run.
