Well if it's just Thabeet, Jordan Hill and Terrence Williams, i don't care... If its any of the other youngsters, I will have a problem with it.

Now appears Lakers will keep Devin Ebanks, and that additional young talent to New Orleans will be coming from the Rockets, sources confirm.

    We're getting raped

I dont care who we sign if we give up too much and we end up with Gasol and leftovers. They get Dwight and Paul with most of our assets helping them. I would want Morey fired if we lose some of our young talent on top of Scola and Martin.

    I doubt we move Thabeet.

Wasn't the plan to amnesty him to make more room for Nene?

When it comes down to brass tacks it certainly seems like this is what's going on. It is hard to swallow.

Oh. To me, that was obviously going to happen no matter what. The Lakers are going to come hard after Howard with Bynum as the centerpiece to a deal. I'm just hoping the New Jersey offer centered around Brook Lopez and picks tops it (I think it should).

This isn't the only opportunity the Lakers had to get Paul. He holds the cards, and I'm sure there are other teams the Hornets could flip Gasol to. The point is, if you're Morey, this is clearly a chance to upgrade your own roster... I don't think you can worry about the "what ifs" with Howard and the Lakers. If that happens, it happens.

But right now, the trade makes the Rockets better and the Lakers worse. That, to me, is what is within Morey's control and how he needs to look at it.

Patterson, TWill (too much potential), Flynn (have a feeling he will have a breakout season), Lee, Budinger must stay.

    They can have the rest.

After that I feel like we're giving up way too much.

I think Morey's idea is a pairing of Gasol+M. Gasol or Gasol+Nene. Would rather have the bro's though.

I guess this was the conversation to Morey from Les.. "Do whatever you have to do to get Gasol"

When we should just cut LA out of it, and take CP3

What the hell is this? The lakers are getting the BEST PLAYER out of the deal, and only trading their 2nd best player? We're trading 2 of our top players to get the 2nd best player...AND THEY WANT MORE? This is crap. Lakers need to pay up.

If we move him without taking back salary, just as good. Not sure such a move is possible.

I would do the same if I were Howard
Deron is physically stronger, a better shooter and relatively healthy
Chris is a lil bit faster and flashier but that's that

Bad news for Pau Gasol, it appears he's coming Houston... good news for Pau Gasol, sounds like he'll have the whole locker room to himself.

DO NOT GIVE UP MORE MOREY !!!!!

Show them you have the stones to walk away- Gasol is just a treading water move, even with Nene it is still not a contending team....a mid seed playoff team, but not one that will contend in the next 3 years.

Yay! The basketball world was better while the players were still locked out...

It`s like seeing a car speeding to a cliff and there is nothing you can do about it. I always believed in Morey, even in the darkest hours - but this just seems like a horrendous move.

A desperate guy willing to do everything to get a star - even if he is already 31 and had never have to be the main guy on a team that went deep in the playoffs...
