Why not dump 31 year old Scola and use PPat instead? At least PPat isn't a defensive liability.

Give them Thabeet, I don't care, but if lee, Lowry, ppat gets touched, fire Morey

This is making no sense to me, Dragic, First rounder, possibly another of our prospects, AND SCOLA AND KMart

whyyyy sooo much wtf is this shet

Walk away DM, walk away with your head held high.......

No need to help the Lakers, or to facilitate a whiny player like CP3......

Giving up Scola/Martin/Dragic and a pick is more than enough.

DO NOT give up the house for a 31 year old Gasol, the team will not recover as fast if you do.....he is NOT worth it.

Keep the core, keep the young guys and roll with what you got, we the fans will support that team.

AB was a better scorer at that time but Lowry was still better in every other category. Lowry is a true point guard while AB is merely an undersized shooting guard who has to shoot well to be effective. Lowry's improved shooting shouldn't be that surprising as it is the easiest thing to improve in the NBA and Lowry has a great work ethic. Your reliance on superficial offensive numbers and lack of vision is what undermines your argument.

So the Rockets have graciously decided to sweeten the deal by giving up their own assets so that Lakers can have a shot at Dwight Howard. Wonderful

I would be ecstatic if that were the case, but with an unproven coach in McHale and getting a softy to man the center in Gasol, and maybe a vastly overated Nene.....I am quite certain they will NOT be anywhere near the WC finals unless they are in the stands like you and I.

Well there is our "basketball reasons." We wouldn't want the Lakers to have a weak front court.

So basically Morey is facilitating a CP3 and Dwight trade to the Lakers. All the while giving a max contract to Nene?

there's no way Morey lets Chuck walk, and trades both Scola and Pat.

    ditto Lee and Martin.

at worst, they've added Dragic, not that that would make me happy.

A national story? LOL. Tim Tebow is a "national story" in the NFL - would you rather him as your QB than, say, the quieter Drew Brees? Carmelo was a national story and "hyped" because he was the most publicly available NBA star and his obvious destination was New York.

Yes, Carmelo is one of the best scorers in the game. Unfortunately for him, there's a lot more to the game than scoring.

Tell me about it. Deal seemingly gets worse by the minute or as every new update comes out.

We clutchfans will support that but the fans that buy ticket to games won't. This city won't spend its money on a bunch of losing kids.

    Les knows this.

Lest we forget, when we traded away four players (including Robert Horry) to get Charles Barkley, we wound up going 57-25, just one win shy of the franchise record.

Yeah, we had Clyde and Dream, and I'm not saying we get much more than 50 wins with Pau, but still, just saying...

How awesome would it be if we get Gasol, Metta and Ariza haha while giving up guys like Scola, Mart and Pat? The GARM would implode.

If the Lakers end up with Paul and Dwight I will never watch the NBA again.

Come on Morey. You have already lost Hayes. Don't piss off the rest of the future for 3 decent years of Gasol.

Why because Thabeet can be a common NBA player?
That takes up too much time. Rebuilding is plan B or C if we lose out on an allstar and there are no more choices then tank and get draft picks..... That should be the LAST OPTION
