I was 50/50 with the deal before because I wanted to see what else Morey would do, but if we have to give up any more, then that's really pushing it. No way we guy the entire roster when even Nene is not a guarantee.

If I ran the office there would be a clear plan in place, we would be going young and taking our shots in the draft.

West is going to Boston, but an Okafur/Gasol frontcourt would be nice.

And stern does know ****about talent evaluation so Morey could very well be unloading Thebeet and Flynn on him.

Dont think we'd include Pat, Lee, or Lowry. It could be Hill, but more likely, Bud. But we better get something back in that scenario, maybe a 1st rounder from the Lakers or something.

The Rockets can say pull out of this deal any time. Morey is making the deal he wants to make.

Not from a salary standpoint they're not.

Give NO Thabeet. Give them Hill. Give them Budinger. Patterson and Morris are untouchable. Parsons, Llull, and Motiejunas waiting in the wings.

You guys do realize Morey doesn't have to give up more of our assets so Paul can get to LA. Blame him, not Stern. He said NO needs more assets. He didn't say we had to be the dummies to give it to them.

that deal has been put on hold by NO until this deal is over.

And I thought the Rockets weren't changing their part of the deal

LOL, no. I don't think having Scola, Nene, and Gasol on the court at the same time would make sense. But I would like to see Scola backup Gasol, would not be a huge drop in talent.

Fans seriously overrate their own players. Getting Gasol for essentially Scola and Martin is as good as it gets.

What other better big man can you get for that package? Hell, what all star caliber player can you get for that package? Nobody would take that.

Agree, people on this thread are getting out of hand. No one knows the whole details of this trade. Everyone just need to chill out and wait and see before we get the pitchforks out. I don't think Morey is an idiot, and would give up our whole roster for pau.

Initially, Hou part of deal was same - Scola, Martin & pick going to NO & Pau to Hou. Now, at NBA/NO's request, Hou sending out more players

LA has no real tradeable asset besides Bynum.

We should not be unloading any of our 09 players, especially Flynn and Thabeet......

We have to find out if they can play first, or have a future before we jettison them.
