teebone i feel your concern man... i have had trouble seeing any good in what is going on. The only good i can see out of it is that we get gasol and then deal him out for draft picks and young talent.. Bc if the rockets front office think trading for gasol and gettting rid of scola and martin will make us better they are smoking crack. Gasol doesnt even want to come here he would not be motivated to play for houston. Even if you do add a decent player in the free agency we will not be better then with scola and martin. Gasol is aging not only that he will not be motivated to do **** in houston. And if he cant do it with kobe bynum artest and the rest of the lakers how the hell is he going to do it here with us giving scola and martin
Rockets aren't tanking, but they aren't going to go Astros either. Budinger can slide to the 2 to improve defense and rebounding. His offense should be better at the 2 than the 3 with more of a height advantage. Morris, Parsons, and TWill fight for the three spot. Gasol has the flexibility to play the 5 as a backup. Get a good 5 (Nene), and the Rockets are a solid playoff team. The Rockets are still probably one big break from being contenders. If it comes, the Rockets actually have the cap space and young talent to capitalize.
I just know that the new coach in KMac values post player differently than wings. He loves teaching big men
Soooooo were lookin at... C Nene (15M?) / Thabeet (5.1) PF Gasol (18.7) / PPat (2.1) / JHill (2.9) SF TWill (2.4) /CBud (.9) SG CLee (2.2) / Jtay PG Low (5.8)/ Flynn (3.4) +/- our rookies, cousin, and blakely... not bad... but is it a contender?
