I won't. Dirk is clearly better than Pau.

I don't think McHale has anything to do with these deals...

    Dirk
    Blake
    KG
    Bosh

    Equal to :

    Amare
    Lamarcus
    Love

The problem is that Gasol is not an ELITE player, he is an all star, but not an ELITE level player.....

We are giving up too much.

Nene and gasol wouldn't make a devestating frontline, but I agree with your assessment. Just don't like how lakers always get the younger, better player in every trade.

Has Nene signed elsewhere? Because unless he has, you really can't judge this trade without taking the cap considerations into account. We can't just look at this trade in a vacuum and ignore the fact that part of the goal is to clear space for a C and another top FA next offseason.

What player, better than Gasol, can we get for Martin/Scola?

    This.

If we land Pau and just Pau, we get one season of him watching the clock counting down the days to leave.

Missing the point. Can you get Dirk? No. Can you get the #11 rated player in the NBA with what we have? Yes.

Could we get Dirk if we had these pieces? Heck no. They aren't good enough pieces.

I'm hoping Stern laughs and quickly hits the reject button. I said youth and picks and you throw in a near 2nd rounder? Child please....

Not yet. Its being reported that he's likely waiting for the Pau trade efore deciding whether or not to sign NJ's offer.

If the Rockets play like they did under JVG, I will be the first one to help usher McHale's corpse out of town.

It depends on what we acquire with the salary dump. Free agency is now, we have to move quickly. If we could trade Kmart's salary for a quality center I don't care if we get a mediocre draft pick. Don't pretend that you'd prefer a late lotto pick over a big man. No team is giving up a high lotto pick for Kmart.

Kevin Martin added, "Hopefully it gets done because we are ready to play some ball." He's about to be on a pretty good team, too.
