Quoted for awesomeness: WindhorstESPN Brian Windhorst Eddy Curry said he's down 70 pounds from last year. Maybe we should sign the guy instead of Nene or Gasol.
When Bynum was out at the beginning of the '10-'11 season, Gasol was averaging close to a 23/10/5. Certainly he could do the same in Houston.
Just say NO to Gasol - don't help this team by taking on his salary and giving aways younger players and future picks..... Beside Morey lost me when he hired Mchale for coach - Time for him to GOOOOOO
Actual translation: The worst thing about this, is that I can't do my job, after 5 months of lockout I was already going crazy to start. There's no other choice but to wait.
The ignorance on this board never ceases to amaze me. Only on clutchfans would we call someone who for the last 2 seasons played 63% and 71% of his minutes at the center position for one of the best teams in the NBA "not a center". Which is hilarious because everyone here would have no problem calling Tim "I am not a center" Duncan a center without second thought.
See that is what I am saying, if you are trying to win now, why are we not giving up younger assets? If we are trying to build for the future, why are we getting Pau and possibly Nene? DD
One thing i would like to mention is... why was Chris Paul so effective as a PG? He had big men. This is Lowry's chance to dominate and show the league what he can do. He is ready to be noticed. Morey must believe in Lowry to give him and the team the right pieces to make a run. A guy who can drive and dump it off to NENE or Gasol for an easy 2 points. Is ALOT easier than dishing it out wide for a contested 2 or 3 in some cases. This has the makings of something great if we can finish this deal and get Nene or Gasol.
Possibility another team might pick up Gasol. http://www.nba.com/2011/news/featur...ers-trade-progress/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt1
