His FG percentage last year suggests otherwise. Put him next to a 7 foot PF and it doesn't matter.

Well he's worked with his sibling for most of his life.

Pau is 31 and only has three more years under contract. Picking him up is a win now move. Need to assemble the best team we can immediately, not settle for less and build for a future in which we won't have a star player.

Gasol and Nene aren't centers, and both don't want to play that position either.

Maybe Montejounas comes over after all.

How about a follow up trade to nab Iggy for spare parts?

    Lowry
    Lee
    Iggy
    Gasol
    Nene

Morris can play the 4 and Patterson can play the 5.

FG percentage doesn't make you a Center.

But you're okay with paying ariza 7 million to be on our team? Did you see the season he had last year? He's a scrub. Do not want him on our team.

What if you put a real center next to a 7ft PF.

Nene and Pau complement themselves pretty well. Even better than Pau & Marc. Marc is amazing, but to me he lacks athleticism, speed, explosiveness and rage. Nene has all this. I mean it's like the beauty and the beast, lol

I dont think them being similar is necessarily a bad thing. Marc is bigger, younger, and probably protects the rim better. Not too shabby offensively either. Nene is a pretty weak rebounder and is probably on a similar level defensively, though not at the rim. I would still make an offer.

Bynum and not Odom? You think so? Injury history and attitude problems and all?

We do have Greg Smith, Marcus Cousins and Omar Samhan, all of whom play center, in training camp. Not to mention we could also sign a guy like Fesenko to man the 5 spot as a back up.

    Nene, hands down.

He's only 3 years older, has played in 75 games or more in each of the last 3 seasons (tough & durable), consistently posts double figs w/ incredible efficiency on the offensive end, and he's known to be a very willing and selfless team player. Not to mention, he's a tremendous pick-and-roll defender (vital considering HOU will have to go thru the best PNR point in the league, CP3, to take down the 'ship).

I like what Marc brings to the table, but Nene next to a healthy, confident Pau is terrifying... surrounded by blue collar 2-way contributors like Lowry, Lee, and 2Pat.

    DAMN.

Magic grant trio of teams permission to talk to Howard! I know it is off topic but Magic granted Lakers permission to talk to Dwight Howard's agent for possible trades?!?! What can Lakers offer to Magic? Sigh, guess we'll find out about their roster after this deal, hopefully, goes through.

I don't understand what you're saying. Nene isn't a center? What is a center? Dalembert?

I don't think Marc is really all that similar to Pau. Marc's game is more of a banger and Pau's more finesse by far. Together
