Not sure what Hollinger's talking about. Gasol/Odom for Paul/Okafor works under the cap rules just fine. NO then flips Gasol to the Rockets for all of their stuff.
Going off the Woj/Yahoo story. Only "certainties" at this point(if there are any) is: Paul still to LA, Scola/Martin to New Orleans, Gasol to Houston. No mention of Odom or Dragic or anyone else for that matter. Then someone asked Chris Broussard if keeping Odom meant they'd have enough or could also include him in a trade for Howard and he said yes. Then, you see a report of Hill possibly going to New Orleans. Might he be replacing Odom in the deal? Not sure.
All this is making me sick I just would like this trade if this happens http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7kgwufo throw some picks if you have to. I think this keeps Howard away from L.A. and make Stern happy with that N.O. is getting
Disagree We are losing Hayes, Thabeet, Miller, Scola and Hill from last years lineup. Even if we land Nene and Gasol/Nene/Patterson is our rotation, we still have no backup C.
This isn't 90s Dominos Pizza where you get something for nothing. I don't see what else he could do? Its a hit and risk for sure, but its better than running out the same team this year hoping for anything better than what we have already got.
GeryWoelfel Gery Woelfel Besides the headliners, Rockets pf Jordan Hill appears bound for New Orleans.
Yep. Was hoping to keep Hill as the 4th big. Word is that he's been the most improved Rocket over the summer.
Leaving the Rockets aside, THE FAIR THING WOULD BE THE LAKERS TRADING BYNUM TO NOH. If Stern accepts a Pau+Ebanks+Caracter+****ty picks deal, thursday's block sounds just stupid. .
Odd. Odom was supposedly in the Lakers practice facility but did not practice. He only took an annual physical. I thought it was sure that he was gonne be shipped off after reading that.
