Will they contend - IMHO absolutely yes. Two 7 foot mobile big men in the paint Lee and Lowrey turning the screws on the outside. Does it get any better than that?

And this deal would possibly leave us the ammunition to make a play for Iggy. Our bench would be much weaker but we would perhaps have the #1 defense in the league. And what would be our rebounding stats be? Best in the league?

IMHO we would have our #1 offensive threat in Gasol. Who knows what his numbers would have been like if Kobe didn't have such an insane usage rate.

Tanking and hoping for a savior in the draft tends to be an awfully slow ordeal. See Boston, TWolves, and so many other teams. It generally takes multiple years to be successful. You not only depend on the roll of ping pong balls, but the uncertainty of even finding a superstar in the draft.

And the last couple of years - great offense and little defense. I do know where that got us.

I think we're done here... Besides, we were gonna use our amnesty on him (Thabeet) anyway... Shipping him to New Orleans just helps us by keeping that amnesty for later down the road.

Spain would love us (maybe even internationally)... it would be great for the Rockets for this to happen.

Decision expected from Nene by the end of the day on hefty offer from Nets. Four years, $64M is the most they can offer.

Nene is not spetacular on defence neither is Gasol. SO iunno how we are the best defensive team in the league.

Trading away Jordan Hill would be addition by subtraction. More time for Patrick Patterson.

    Interesting..

Possibly Lamar Odom(for LA) not in this new proposed deal and possibly no Dragic(for HOU). None of that is clear though.

They would send us some of their delicious tapas their way? More of their beautiful women would come visit? I don't know, it's not like having Yao and millions of Chinese fans really helped us that much.

Can someone clarify what change is being made in the newly proposed trade. Are they only looking out for new Orleans?
