At this point, I feel Dmo and Lowry are the only untouchable players we have. I wouldn't give them up unless its for a bonafide all nba player.
I would like if someone posted that one handed poster dunk that D-Mo made on ex Grizzly Lawrence Roberts
Where is ohmsss to tell everyone that Jonas is high school level talent and DMo has done nothing and no one on this board can possibly know anything about basketball because they do not call themselves ohmssss.
It was a dream game for any Lithuanian basketball fan. Sorry though, this time I supported Valanciunas in this game ) LR is lithuanian team, and asseco is Polands, so yeah, ha ha). But nevertheless, the game was so awesome. But there is one thing I want to say. You all American people talking about scoring, rebounding and stats, but none of you mentioned that he played for 36mins, many plays runs trough him and he didn't even made a single turnover.. Cheers!
Hey all. My 1st reply in this forum (rocket fans you are amazing!). I watched today match and I feel like I have something to say. First thing, The game was not very good for both Valanciunas and Motiejunas but it was expected - both teams are very good defensively, has tall players who can play defense (including the bench). Thus, it was tough game for both. Motiejunas was plaing very bad during first 3 quarters, but he made his way in 4th and in overtime as he put more agrresion and kept going to the basket instead of walking around 3-point line. And yes, as it was mentioned, it is common in europe for PF to shoot 3-pointers and free the space in the paint for others. What I like most about Motiejunas that he is very fast and has good passing abilities for his height. He never slows down the game. He showed he can dunk (roberts could confirm ) and he's not affraid to shoot at last seconds - good sign. Valanciunas played decent game aswell, 5 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks against euroleague team. It's quite ok knowing his age. Motiejunas played little better today, but don't forget he is 2 years older than V (19 years old). Although, I believe it will be difficult for Valanciunas to adjust in NBA when rebounding mainly because less things are allowed in NBA when rebounding (especially after new rules came out). Valanciunas is not affraid of contact and uses his arms alot during rebounding, slightly pushing his opponent away and ect. it means he is a bit dirty. While in euroleague it's quite common I'm affraid he would get fouls in NBA. Continuing the theme of high prospects from Europe in PF and C position in this year NBA draft (Kanter, V, D-Mo) I'm very suprised noone's talking about Nikola Mirotic (drafted 23th by Houston rockets but traded to Chicago). he's 20 years old and averagin 11 p and 4 reb for Real Madrid in euroleague. This year in Europe U-20 he was named MVP averaging 27 p and 10 rebs. I'm not saying he should have drafted instead of D-Mo. I'm not sure who's better now not talking about future. Instead, I do believe D-mo was draft steal, but Nikola Mirotic was a steal aswell.
indeed, he was 0/3 at the beginning But seriously, his FT should improve, his shooting technics are quite good, no reason for FT to be at such low percentage. May be some mentally problems when staying at the line or just a coinsidence but believe me - his FT will improve
Everything except a trade with Donatas involved would be a win for us. If he plays this season for us will be an advantage because he's already playing for about 3 month. So he will be in good shape. Let him finish the season in europe is good as well because of experience. The only thing DM can't do is trading him.
Haven't seen him in person, but the games online I've seen show a lot of potential. Mirotic would be great for Minnesota. He can movw without ball. He can play pick and roll. He would be ideal for a team with a post up center.

Hey, if it's general talk about Motiejūnas then watch it - Motiejūnas led Prokom team to victory today against Lietuvos Rytas from Lithuania (where playing other 2011 draft pick nr.5 J.Valančiūnas) after OT 74:73 and scored clutch shot with 16 points total, well played i think
