Lol. Why would ORL want Okafor. No one have tried to trade for Okafor, he's not that good and makes $12 million a year!
1) All the "Pausoft" label is crap. The guy defended Howard in the 2009 Finals and made him shoot under 50% and average 15ppg when he was in the playoffs shooting over 60% and scoring more than 22ppg. In the 2010 Finals, he made Garnett, Perkins, Rasheed and Davis look soft in almost 6 of the 7 games. Watch the stats and read the chronicles. 2) It's the normal reaction. From one day to another, you know by the press that the team you've fought for will trade you away from Hollywood and all that huge market. Once he assimilated it, he tweeted that he'll keep being positive whatever happens.
Morey: "I was strongly considering including Kevin Martin in the Pau Gasol trade, but a series of tweets from a random fan opened my eyes. I may be a professional general manager who has negotiated trades and contracts for years, but only the wisdom of an anonymous voice can lead us to victory. Thank you, Rednation713."
I think LA got more back if they get Okafor. Lakers always push for more back even when they try to restructure. They make me sick. Gasol? He is a good player. Morey knows the league values centers the most. We need a center and he got the best one besides Dwight Howard. He is a star. We can compete and go to the playoffs with him and Patterson already. Just interesting to see who else he adds.
Hey it isn't hard when you have the Commissioner backed by 20 plus owners negotiating for the Hornets. Oh, I forgot they hafe a GM, too. Maybe we can be put in receivership and have the Commish and gang negotiate a trade for us, too.
Right. There sure are a lot of folks on Clutchfans who seem to think this is true, and are so sure of it there's willing to gut the team to get a high lottery pick. If only it were that easy.
This fascination with Martin is amazing. Lowry has shown he can produce constantly and effectively now. Martin's contract is just a bit too much and moving him gives us a ton of cap flexibility. Morey has proven he can find perimeter players so I'm not worried.
If David Stern was able to shed Okafur's contract by rejecting the first trade, in the end he looks smart.
