Oh thank god we had to wait longer, i didn't think the trade was fair enough thankfully it's so much better now.
Nah, he just wanted them to tweak the deal so he can accept it and save face. He didn't expect the massive amount of backlash from denying the first deal so he is trying to backpedal now.
Okafor for another good big? That just makes them better! Heck, they could have Okafor backup up Dwight when they trade Bynum for him. This actually makes the team better, proving once again it's about the other owners making money from the Lakers through the luxury tax. That was Dan Gilbert's biggest issue in his letter to the other owners, the fact lakers were going to be saving money from luxury tax.
You don't seem to understand. He can sign the qualifying 1-year offer and then walk away at the end of 2012. And they can't trade him in 2011 without his permission. Marc does have leverage. It only matters whether or not he wants to use it or not, whether he likes Memphis and wants his money now or does he want to gamble for one year to have the right to change teams and sign a contract then.
It's the Lakers I wouldn't be shocked if they still could move that contract and get something good for him.
I don't understand why the Hornets would rather have Laker scrubs than Okafor. They should try to win with Martin/Odom/Scola..
Mike_Bresnahan Mike Bresnahan Odom is not practicing again but is at Lakers' training facility for annual physical. Gasol is also at facility...unclear if he's practicing
Ok how many times am I going to have to post this? http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7100076/nba-player-rankings-11-15 There is NO chance for the Rockets to get someone better. Gasol would be a #1 option if Kobe's usage rate wasn't one of the highest in the league.
