I wont suggest the rockets to match nets' offer, and I will prefer Tyson Chandler in this case.

That is utterly insane, but that's also the kind of money that everyone predicted the new owner would throw around. Crazy money. Monopoly money. Wow.

Dwight would be a trade and presumably Nene would play PF.

actually, if anything, i exhibited the opposite of homerism. i don't over value patpat, clee, cbud, etc. i appreciate the opportunity to secure a top 3 center and a top 3 PF.. IN ONE MOVE.

Yup. To the agents and especially the players' unions, it comes down to the largest final value amount they can find. That's how they build credibility.

The "no state taxes" thing sounds great in theory, but it depends on a player having the intelligence and desire to take negotiations over for himself. There aren't many of those. Not impossible, but...

UHMMM - because this forum is undervaluing Nene consistently? Signing Howard is a crap shoot and they need to convince dWill to stay???

They have to keep their options open, its in Nene's best interest to see where CP3 and Dwight end up before he chooses.

Again in the original plan the Rockets have Gasol, Nene, and Chuck with no starting wing players. Patterson was as good as gone..

How can you call facts dumb? I have shown proof that this team can play well together. You can't show proof that Gasol and Nene would help this team with so many players being taken from it.

They're not signing Howard they're working a trade for him.

I don't think so, but the way they finished showed promise.

I look at it as...which direction is this team going?

Is Pau better than Scola - yes
Is Pau better than Martin - yes

Is Pau better than both of them combined.....not so sure...

And is the team left over better than last year's team? I don't think so...

So, what are we doing? Are we trying to win this year, go young, keep flipping? What?

Now, we don't know all the moving pieces, but this plan seems a bit out of wack.....at the moment, at least to me.

I just think you gotta keep Kevin Martin. Certainly not a star to build around, but he's way too efficient to let go.

isnt that like almost 65 million on 4 players? And they still wouldn't crack top 2 in the east. Maybe not even top 3.

Our deal may not be contingent on Nene. We could always use the extra money to put a huge deal in front of Marc Gasol, dare Memphis to match.

Getting Nene will convince DWill to stay? Dwill would rather go where DHoward will end up at.
