I thought we were replacing martin with "young talent?" Seems like there is one half saying we can do the trade without including Martin and the other half saying we can't. Obviously hoping it's the former hahaha
Yes please!!! By all indications this deal is set in stone. I don't want to stay up til 5am for a week in a row...
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I hope we are getting proper returns with the added youth of the new deal, whoever that is. Thanks Stevie...
haha, I certainly hope Morey can reward me with some Gasol-iciousness!!! And between Morris and Patterson, I think NO wants Patterson, so Patterson is as good as gone... too bad I liked the guy...but obviously not enough for it to be a deal-breaker for Gasol!! xD
Like you fellas, i can't wait for the deal to be revealed. It's got me curious who we have packaged. I'm keeping an open mind though. Won't dwell on who we will lose but rather look at the BIG picture. Twin towers! New Rockets era. About time we bullied these other teams in the paint! OT: To those who have twitter accounts, follow me @marcoTHIRB and i'll follow back. Would like to share this type of moments with fellow Rocket die hards and read to what they have to say. hehe
**** Stern for screwing this up. We had a good deal ready to go the first time around and were trying to get it in asap so we could sign Nene and Hayes. NOW we lose Hayes and possibly lose either Lee &/or Patterson with another pick??? David Stern ****ing sucks.
The Hornets have like only 5 or 7 player signed to guaranteed contracts. They were going to sign that many training camp guys anyway.
wait wait...what are we offering now? and what's the source/link for it? I'm looking over my twitter feed and I don't see any indication of a tweaked deal on the Rockets part...I'm seeing tweets from about midnight that the Lakers and Hornets are doing the tweaking..but Rox still sending who they're sending and still getting Pau. is that wrong?
Stern has been an easy target. One thing I learnt over the years is when the media are this vocal and so much in agreement over an opinion they are more likely to be proven wrong down the road. The Lakers coming out with CP3 and a $9 million trade exception was a robbery with the Hornets becoming a dumping ground.
whether thats true or not, stern shouldn't have any say in this. he didn't stop the kwame brown for pau gasol trade, which literally gifted to the lakers 2 championships. now he's pressing the emergency button for this?
http://ken-berger.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/11838893/33780584 Berger says we are offering up either Patterson or Lee, along with a couple others tweeting about it around like 1:00am Then a local Lakers guy tweeted around like 3:00am that it was a DONE DEAL, Lakers getting an extra asset, blah blah.
wait..so we're adding another piece? are we getting anything back in return for adding the additional piece? holy crap, this deal gets worse and worse. at this point, i think 30% of the board would give up the Toyota Center and Hakeem's retired number for 2 years of Pau Gasol.
