Playing Nene on our Rockets right now, dude is unstoppable inside. Gets plenty of And 1's. This is the type of play I miss with our Rockets.

I agree, everyone on our roster right now is replaceable. Gasol and Nene aren't easy to find nor replace. Heck when was the last time we had 7 footers who could actually ball? Yao? Can't even recall the last time he had a good full season + playoffs with us.

Works for me I guess. But off subject side note, no way TWill should start over Bud. He should be behind the bench. Ball Stopper.

Building the team through trades much like the Boston Celtics. If we get both Gasol and Nene to go with a rising star in Lowry we could be contending again in no time.

    Lee+Patterson $4.2mil vs Martin's $11.5

Giving up Scola/Martin/Dragic would give us $11mil in cap space then add Thabeet's $5mil would give you the $16mil to offer Nene.

Giving up Scola/Patterson/Lee/Dragic would leave us with only $4mil in cap space. Add Thabeet's $5mil amnesty = $9mil.

    That deal won't work.

I would hate going up a team with Nene and Pau underneath. Look the damage Memphis did with Zbo and Marc even without Rudy Gay.

Welcome back to relevance Gasol and Rockets!!!

WOOHOO!!! THIS WILL BE THE BEST TRADE MOREY HAS EXECUTED IN HIS TENURE IF FINALISED!!!

If it means giving up Lee, Patterson, Morris, Budinger, then so be it. Any or all of the combination of players, I'm all for it!!! Morey can EASILY restock via FA or even better, next year's loaded draft.

    Go Morey!!! GO FOR BROKE!!!

66% of the members of Clutchfans will come to their senses when we start winning a helluva lot for the next couple of seasons.

I used to be his biggest supporter, but I've taken off my rose tinted glasses. On the other hand, Les might be pushing for these short term fixes, and Morey is simply following his orders. It's impossible to say, but to patiently watch the Rockets spend almost a decade trying to undo previous mistakes, then to watch them take all of their best "assets" and flip them for a guy who:

    1. is an all star but not elite level player
    2. is 31 years old
    3. has played over 800 games
    4. is probably not happy about being here

    is very troubling to me.

In the meantime, a team and GM we ridicule (Minny) is loaded with young exciting players, and they will be instructed by a terrific head coach who the Rockets just kicked to the curb.

A head coach who's greatest sin was pointing out that lots of sideways motion doesn't necessarily equate to progress.

And to top it off, we are assisting the Lakers in acquiring an elite level player, which sets them up for the next half decade.

To summarize, I think it sucks.

Bam, I think if this Gasol trade goes down, the team is gonna enter into dynamite mode. Who knows, we probably undergo a transformation like none of us could ever dare to imagine.

Clearly those 66% has never used their brain to watch Gasol. He was the reason the Lakers won those 2 titles.

+1 to you too. They have to realize how long we had to suffer playing a 6'5" dude at center. Now having two legit bigs would be a pain in the @ss for opposing teams. We won't be bullied inside anymore. For once people, let us bully others in the paint.

Give Martin, Hill, Dragic, Patterson, Flynn to New Orleans Hornets, dump Twill to Lakers and we get the capspace to sign Nene or Marc Gasol. Then pack Scola and Thabeet's expring to a team seeking for a scorer power forward for a Iguodala maybe?

    Lowry
    Lee
    Iguodala
    Gasol
And I wish one more Gasol

Remember guys, this is with Derek Fisher feeding them the ball in LA. With a top 10 PG in Lowry, their stats aren't about to dwindle anytime soon.

Age is OVERRATED. I think people get in love with players who have potential far too much. The average age of championship teams are usually 27+ years old and up. Okay so you want to go for a young superstar whom you want to watch grow up with this team. That sounds exciting and all, but are you really willing to wait 10 years to build around that player because that's pretty much how long it takes. Look at Dirk, he was drafted by the Mavs and is a superstar, look how long it took his team to get him to win a championship. I'd very much prefer to get veterans all the way if it gets us closer to being competitive.

Timberpups have a young and exciting team because they can have sucked for YEARS. We could get high draft picks if we tank but that's a different topic. Let's stick to what we have and what we're doing now.

Yup yup. People thought Yao was HOF-quality. Gasol is actually better than Yao. And that's coming from a massive Yao fan who consider the golden era of Rockets basketball to be the T-Mac Yao Era.

    Bingo.

When the Lakers lost, it was often times because Kobe wasn't giving Pau the ball enough...
