Them just being interested helps out because they may hold out on spending and save it for Dwight while we scoop up Nene.
I'm sorry, I just can't take you serious after saying you like Morris over Rudy Gay since Gay is a borderline all star and Morris hasn't even seen NBA action. Wait until Morris sees a full season to make your statement.
You would think the Rockets were getting Chris Paul with what we are reportely giving up. The Lakers need to be giving more. They are the ones getting CP3.
I would rather have Lee than Kmart, but I wouldn't be angry if we kept Martin until he lets his man drive by him for an open layup on opening day.
I think you might be underrating Gasol and Odom a little bit. (I hope we are able to dump Thabeet on the Lakers)
- I would see griffin, aldridge and love over both of these players - at centre i only really see dwight being better.... but that does not really fully show the skill but lack of talented centres in the league
I am not sure I can root for a team that went from having Hayes and Scola in the starting line up to one that has Gasol and Josh Howard...and is coached by a dirty Celtic. I am still in favor of the trade, but please, no Josh Howard -- I can only stand so much. You might as well make friggin Stockton the GM.
The thing about the Lakers is... outside of Gasol, Odom, and Bynum... they don't have ANYTHING to give up. Just giving up Gasol and Odom alone pretty much destroys their front court and bench in one swoop.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Morey help facilitate that, which started the whole tampering rumors in the first place. Morey facilitates CP3 to NO and then **** blocks LA trio of Dwight + Kobe + CP3 by helping NJ land Dwight. That would be genius.
Yeah, well, it does suck to lose Chuck, and would suck to lose either Lee or Pat. On that front we agree. Now I wonder if the team can get enough cap room over what it takes to get Nene-- the cap room that would have gone to Chuck-- in order to score another FA or make another trade. As I said elsewhere, I really like Chauncey Billups in the "amnest auction" either playing next to Lowry or backing him up, would love to see the Rockets put a bid on him.
By that logic LA, with Bynum, Odom, and Kobe, would never get rid of Gasol. Bynum when healthy is better than Nene.
