I have faith that Morey isn't going to acquire certain pieces just to make a move. There is a method here. However, if there isn't and we end up with Gasol and nothing else materializes, then fire him. He's spent the better part of his tenure here acquiring these pieces, Les has to at least give him the chance to cash in his chips and see what happens after the dust settles. Gasol is 31, let's face it regardless what anyone thinks of him his best years are probably behind him. Nene has a history of injuries. Combine the two and we become a solid middle road team for a few years and the right back where we started. Would rather keep the young talent than give half our team away for Gasol. Not worth the trade.
Morey isn't an idiot. He won't give up all of them. The names mentioned are kmart, scola dragon, lee, ppat, and some picks. It won't be ALL of these. It would be a certain combo. I'm sure morey knows we would need a sg.
