Thinking about it again, now that it appears a similar deal will go trough I really like Billups as a Plan B option instead of Chuck.

Billups IMO is better than anything the Rockets have at backup PG/SG.

Lowry, Lee & Billups would make a pretty formidable backcourt rotation.

Sign a veteran like Kurt Thomas to backup Gasol.

If Rockets then also get Nene:

    Gasol K.Thomas
    Nene Patterson
    Budinger T-Will
    Lee Billups
    Lowry Billups

... and you probably still have enough assets to trade for Iggy. :)

Billups doesn't want to play here. He wants to play for a title contender not a team that is trying to just get in to the playoffs

If the team gets Gasol and Nene, they are contenders.

If we get those 2, and sign another wing if we lose Martin, then yea there's a chance but Billups would be the final piece. A lot of dominoes would have to fall before he would accept Houston as a destination

I don't think Kyle would like that too much.

Lowry isn't Brooks..He plays for the team, not individual stats.

Besides, isn't Billups friends with Nene?

Both Lowry and Brooks have had one good year, let's hope Lowry doesn't get injured and fall off like AB did.

If we are losing Martin and Lee in the cluster**** deal, we need to bid for Billups ASAP!

It's only the first day guys, give them some more time. But, Billy is not needed in this team. We got 3 pg already.

Would rather have Sergio Llull. What's it going to take to get him to come here to play with his Spanish brotha from anotha mutha!?

    Buyer beware.

You could have a locker room cancer or a great leader if you take on Billups depending on which team picks him up.

He'd get pissed for sure joining Houston.

Why on earth would we want Billups? We have a younger, just as good (if not better) version in Lowry.
