Yeah, Okafor is a better rebounder, but that's pretty much it. Nene is much better offensively. Okafor would be a liablity offensively. He's a terrible foul shooter and gets blocked a lot. He can't create anything. I don't think that's the direction we want to go. Might as well have kept Scola and Hayes instead. That said, I don't think he sucks at all. He's a good defender and rebounder. But hes' not exactly drawing a lot of interest around the league.
Right now, I'd rather they have Jermaine O'neal. Word is that the David West S&T deal to Boston for O'neal and filler. I can't imagine that NO would do this (they'd have no reason to take on that salary) unless both (1) they're getting the Clippers' first round pick from Boston and (2) they already had a place to dump the incoming salary. Perhaps the REAL "sweetener" to the three-team deal is the agreement by either the Lakers or Rockets to eat O'neal's salary so that BO'S clears that Clips pick (which will likely be a late lottery pick) on top of their prior haul. Just a guess, though.
Doesn't surprise me. He was the best option to add cap to LA and remove it from NOLA. Leaves a hole at the 5 for NOLA though.

we're definitely not getting okafor. nor are the lakers. i highly doubt that hes moved in this deal. that said, i feel o'neal will definitely be moved to LA, avery bradley and clippers 1st rd pick remain in NOLA, NOLA receives kmart, odom, budinger, dragic, hill, twill

I dont see Scola staying, especially since the Gasol trade is supposed to pave the way for Nene. But if we keep Martin? Wow. What an offense that would be.
Check out the advanced statistics DD, they are not remotely close... Nene blows him out of the water. That's why Morey wants him so badly...
Advanced statistics are pretty dependent upon the teamates you play with and the team, which is why players can have wild swings in PER etc when they move to a better overall team. But, I hear ya. I just don't think there is that much difference, and would be happy with either. DD
Don't know TBH. It's all one giant cluster****. I have to believe either us or LA will have to take on a bad contract and I hope it ain't us. LA is getting the superstar. We need that capspace to sign Nene.
