If true, I'm actually going to be more pissed at the Lakers than with the first iteration of this trade. Luxury ax and salary aside, Okafor is still a game-changing big man. To have both him and Bynum would be hell for the rest of the league. At the very least, the Lakers would have their starting center for the first 5 games and for the other 20+ games that Bynum is inevitably injured.
Why would the Hornets even consider that? They need Okafor more than anyone... 3. Lamar Odom 4. Luis Scola 5. ??????? They need that guy...

It'd make them tough defensively, but Bynum and Okafor are hardly post-up threats. They'd still lack inside scoring.
The Celtics now have 3 PF's on their roster not including KG. West, Green and Brandon Bass. Someone's on their way out, I have to think.
