What about Okafur? I know he has a bad contract, but it is still more reasonable than what Nene is gonna get. He is a career 13 and 10 guy with 2 blocks a game. Last season he still was a 10, 10 and 2 guy (compared to Nene, who is coming of his best season with 15, 8 and 1)

Next to Gasol we would own the paint. He won`t create a lot of his shots, but should get some second chance points and be able to exploit double teams.

But the whole problem with our twin tower scenario (whether it is with Nene or Okafur) is: we don`t have many shooters on the outside. Lowry, Lee, Morris - none of them really scares other teams with their 3-pointer. If we go the twin tower way, we need at least another shooter.

Ok, 17-19 million might be over dramatic but closer to 15-16 million(which he reportedly has from the Nets). Not that it's my money but still too much.

I don't think it's too much for a high efficiency scorer, good positional defender with legitimate size and extraordinary athleticism for his size.

The guys is a monster. How many players scored more than 14 ppg at a 65% TS%?

Man, I have been refreshing the page all day (and while at work).

It's nice to be waist-deep in trade rumors/talk again.

With Okafor and Gasol in the paint, it'll actually look like CBud is playing defense... He'd still start

The New Jersey Nets made a four-year, $60 million-$65 million contract offer to free-agent center Nene, aggressively pushing to steal him away from the Denver Nuggets, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Nets general manager Billy King was presented the offer to Nene’s agent Dan Fegan on Friday. Nene could make a decision as soon as Friday night.

This is the most ESPN has talked about the Rockets in one week than they have the past 3 years.

I think that's too much for Nene. We should not pay that much.

The Miami Heat players took a small pay cut to play together, to make winning easy. CP3 hasn't gotten a new deal yet. And quit acting like Bigs don't get paid more.

if chandler could get that massive offer from the knicks, then i think this deal isn't too out of proportion.

now its up to morey to get the gasol deal pushed through so we can pursue nene or gasol 2.0
