This a very sick thread at a time like this. No, seriously, I don't see how we can answer this question until we make some moves.
Thabeet should start every game and play 40 minutes a game and or untill he fouls out. Restructure his contract so that he gets incentivised something like this. An extra $300k if he manages to play 30 minutes per game without fouling out. An extra $300 k for 3 plus blocks per game. An extra $300 if he gets more than 8 rebounds per game. An extra $200k if he scores more than 5 points per game. he gets docked $50k every time he fouls out within 15 minutes. Aside from possibly helping us get a lottery pick, this will give Thabeet the ultimate incentive. If he fails as greatly as feared he won't get another NBA contract after the season.
Thabeet - he is the anti-Scola. Playing them at the same time will result in perfect pH...many will be healed...
Tank will start at center for us. Tank is a very good center. Tank can rebound, score, and play defense.
McHale, Morey at forward, and Les at guard; before all this nonsense is over, they will be the only ones available.
Scola, if he's not traded. On defense he'll be killed but there aren't that many centers in this league who can score even with no one guarding them.
Well, we still have 15 days until the season. Right now Jordan Hill by default. Oh dear God. If wonder if we'll have 66 blocks as a team all season?
Scola at center? Is he big and tall enough?? What is his height and weight. I think theRockets need to keep trying to pull a Pau-esque caliber center. If not via trade, then via free agency. (maybe not a Pau type, but maybe Tyson Chandler, etc.)
we are literally balls deep in **** unless we puck a center from free agency. Thabeet and Hill would be hands down the worst 5 position pairing ever.
If Hill/Thabeet are our centers, we wont even have to try and tank. That being said, it would be good for them to get alot of minutes this season. Maybe they'll be ready in 3 years after we get a top 5 pick this draft and build around that pick.
