In that scenario, 2 or 3 of these would have to go... P-Pat, Dragic, Budinger, maybe even Marcus Morris and some picks.
Rockets, Lakers, Hornets trade near done - Appreciation Thread Theres been so much controversy and heresay. Im getting word from KMFG and someone I know within the Rockets organization that the talks are now back on and a deal will be done soon.
Or at least suggested that some deal might be acceptable and the folks are not just wasting their time negotiating this things.
If they're optimistic, that has to mean the league notified them via private channels that they'd approve it with a tweak.
Is this thread necessary? I thought the deal is not only back up, but near done, so there is appreciation for it or something.
one thing i believe is certain..nene is waiting to see what happens... he could have already signed...for once a player wants to come to houston.
No Pat, no Lowry, no Lee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and find a way to ship T-Will the hell outta here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Isn't trading both Martin and Scola what saves us the cap room to then give Nene an attractive offer? Won't we not save that cap room if we keep Martin?
JINX! Anyhow, I appreaciate the trade drama. I mean, this is much more interesting than the typical first day of training camp, no?
If Nene accepts New Jersey's offer, then this is quite possible. But please keep in mind that the plan was to INTENTIONALLY trade BOTH Martin AND Scola in this deal, in order to open up enough cap room to (a) get Nene this year and (b) pursue another free agent next year. Having Pau and either Martin or Scola on the books hampers the Rockets' salary cap flexibility as opposed to the currently proposed/vetoed trade. And we all know how Morey loves flexibility.
I dont know if we lose out on some free agents this wont be such a good thing. Hopefully once it happens we can still salvage some good signing after this move to go with it.
Tha'ss right, my brother. Love to keep coming back to this site. Hope my wife doesn't divorce me. Glad she likes basketball. If we do wind up with Nene, then all will be forgiven ( ) as she is Brazilian. Although this might just be some dude in his gramma's basement making stuff up.
