As I said in the other thread, who can blame him, he just sat by and watched his teamates get traded then not traded, and the chaos that ensued, probably cementing the fact that even if he did sign in Houston, the first chance anyone asked about him, he would probably be traded. DD
YES it did if nothing happened. Morey spent these past weeks working on improving this team. Making the Gasol trade, making a run at NENE, all while saving cap to sign chuck. If the trade went through, then we would have been able to at least match that offer. Now we lose him, possibly Nene, no deal for gasol. And we are stuck with a group of guys who won't ever live up too All-Star or Superstar status. Awesome.
Indeed. We will never get any players to want to come here. He was the last one that has been around longer than a year or two. There is a point you have to start treating your players as people instead of trading cards.
This was the best gamble we could have had in a LONG time. We were close to getting Nene and resigning Chuck. The only young piece we lose is Dragic, the pick is worthless considering the Knicks aren't going to the lottery anytime soon. We KEEP all of our young players beside Dragic. That is huge.
Morey was begging for him to hold out from signing so he could finish the Blockbuster that would leave cap space to resign him. Happy for Chuck but ****ing furious at Stern
What makes you so sure of Moreys plan??? You all are blaming David for this signing? Da fook?? The only message Morey sent out was wait and you guys take it to the max like you know what the hell is going on..This is Morey, no one knows what fook is going including himself. Chill the hell out damn.
If Morey was crazy enough to match the Nets $16 million/year offer to Nene the Rockets wouldn't have been able to sign Chuck anyway.
No, its a cycle of events which is why Morey told Chuck's camp too wait for the trade to happen. Too free the necessary space to re-sign him. Stern through a monkey wrench in everything and he screwed us. If you don't see outside the box on that, then i can't help you.
One of my favorite all-time Rockets. But more importantly -- what an idiotic signing by Sacramento. Really?!
This mess have nothing to do with the Rockets. It's all on Stern. It wasn't a rumor, the trade was complete!
