...what will you do? Myself, I will migrate over to the GARM once the season starts. The Pau(l) trade being axed took the wind out of my sails. The GARM's at that point where all posts will be burried in an avalanche. Hey, at least no Chinese fans!

There needs to be some kind of overhaul in the GARM because, quite frankly, it's terrible. Hasnt been good in about 5 to 6 years. There really is no point in posting because as the OP says, your post gets buried really quick. Whats sad is, how good it used to be.

I had a few really well thought out genuinely funny posts in the GARM yesterday and didn't get repped for any....

    Joking.

But it does seems the GARM is a bunch of poster just having a shouting match, if that's even possible.

The Hangout isn't what is used to be. I think there are too many threads about video games. If you're not a hardcore gaming dork.....er...gamer, half the threads are meaningless.

The hot women threads are kind of pointless too. You can go anywhere on the internet and find hot women...why start threads here?

I usually check the Texans forum first, then the football forum, then Hangout, then GARM.

What the Hangout needs is more relationship threads!

I spend 85% of my time in the Hangout and the rest is a split between Dish and Garm. I don't see too much of a reason to visit the GARM too often considering how bad the Rockets are going to be this season. It'll be a pissing war between pro-tankers and play-to-win..-ers.

The GARM has been trash for years. I don't think it's salvageable. For me, it's the NBA Dish, the Hangout and Football+Texans. D&D on occasion.

I have to agree, I know there are some good posters still in there but they are mostly drowned out, a real shame.

I do check it from time to time but its hard to dig through the muck to get some actual well thought out discussion.

I had no idea the the hangout was ever the most popular forum to begin with. Now that it's Football season I spend the majority of my time in the Texans forum. Next I check the Hangout which is my preferred forum the rest of the time. Sure, there are a lot of junk posts here or subjects I'm not interested in, but there are also the good threads and even some remarkably smart and/or very funny talk. I've gotten some good advice here from certain members on matters that would be difficult to have such varied discourse upon anywhere else I can think of. I mostly enjoy the music threads and the book threads but there are plenty of other good topics and it's easy to ignore everything else.

Too bad about the GARM. That's what brought me here, but except to check in on the latest news, I don't spend much time there anymore... Still love the Rockets and have a deep appreciation for this site as a whole. Oh yeah, and I'm glad The Hangout is not the most popular forum

Texans + Football with some occasional Hangout. Hangout isn't my go to off-topic forum anymore however (that's NeoGAF OT). I wasn't a huge fan of basketball and recent NBA killed what little interest I had (sorry guys).

Use your ignore list. It works wonders and doesn't appear to have a limit.

I never looked at the hangout for years but I got sick of the GARM. The reaction threads right after games, especially loses were unbearable. The hypothetical trades that serve no purpose were horrible too but I think they banned those.
