No need to worry about Nene now; the Gasol trade didn't go through. Most likely Nene will go back to Denver.
Hayes prefers to stay with Rockets ..ALSO his AGENT says he's so LOYAL hurry MOREY!! AND RESIGN THE GUY!
Oh dang...But at least HAYES wilin to TURN down SACTOWN deal...and Stay with us..he say he still prefer to stay...
EVERY BODY CHILL OUT I have an amazing solution for everyone who wanted the trade to go down ... this is how you do it First you trade Martin to Indy for george and posey ... hopefully this is enough... but in reality it probably will be. Indy really needs a 2 and Martin gives them a great 2 If needed we can throw in hill as they really need a 4 also and i think his contract will fit.... Maybe instead indy wants scola ... thats fine . Ok now to N.O you flip george and Scola and dragic for Paul ... George is a great young player bettter than they could have gotten form any of the picks and has a brighter future than odom. Again you could throw hill too or maybe a pick. Then to L.a you flip paul for gasol and a pick .... The NBA cant veto it because they dont own our team. We hold leverage in that LA wants paul ... they give up less than they were previously. We have to be carefull and ask LA beforehand if they will do it because if not Paul will probably walk. I think this trade could realistically happen but it depends on us getting a good young player like george... I think N.O takes that offer for Paul because it gives them One of Martin/ Scola ... george the best asset out of everyone previously traded and they also get dragic. Only loosing out on Odom and Scola/Martin .... They also dont take nearly as much salary back ... so the deal might be a tiny bit worse for N.O but they get a much higher ceiling player in george. We are a little better of because we can leverage a pick or two out of LA ... and say that we will trade paul elsewhere ( i think the owners will stop paul from going to any big market teams ... but we could trade him there ) La is a lot better off because they dont give up Odom ... and i dont really like that and i wished the deal we had wouldve gone down ... Actually i would rather this deal not happen unless it happened really fast ... Im in favor of trading martin and scola for young players and picks .. but feasibly thats not likely to happen for both of them and i think Gasol fetches a better player/pick than either one ... I would be happy with the deal for George alone if it came with a similar trade of Martin/Scola ( whover we didnt trade to get him ) ... but for everyone wanting to get gasol maybe thats a way to get him .. Maybe LA would take Martin and Scola + Pick straight up for Gasol if they thought they could get Deron or someone for martin and scola but not for Gasol ... NJ does really like scola ... so maybe that would actually work for them ... Do you think NJ would do Martin / Scola / Lakers picks / Dragic / lakers take on one of their bad contracts for Deron and we get Gasol ... that might actually work if Deron is likely to walk ...
I take back my previous trade .... its too implausible ... this one however would be amazing ... one thing has to happen though ... If ( and i've heard reports ) Deron Williams insists that he wants to test free agency then the nets will be tempted to deal him ... check this out
oops sorry delete previous ... i didnt post the whole thing here it is http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7tw5sfs with this the nets get Martin , Scola , Odom and possibly dragic ( i would make picks be from LA ) We get gasol ... sign Nene and Hayes La gets Williams and Outlaw ( i think he is a bad contract ) from NJ Its obvious to see why teams do this. If NJ thinks thinks Deron is going to walk then why not pull this ... In fact they are still in a position to deal for Howard with B-lopez and picks they get from LA Houston does it for the same reason they do the N.O deal and actually give up less ( no picks given up ) LA does it because it is either this or wait till the summer... and Deron is better than Paul so they have to throw in a pick ... but at least the contract they take on is not as bad as Okafor's which they would have had to take on .... everyone is happy especially NJ .... If i were houston i would leverage this trade on LA and maybe try to get a first out of them also . Again this only happens if Deron insists on testing Free - agency ... but i have heard rumors that he has. Its a great haul for NJ and a hefty price for the Lakers but if its the choice between getting Deron now or waiting until the summer i think they take it.
Why don't we go after CP3 and DH12? My offer Why don't we go after CP3 and DH12? My offer http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7ge9mpj We get 2 superstars. David Stern is happy CP3 doesn't go to LA. NOH is happy they get Scola and Martin and a first rd pick. Orlando gets a great value for Dwight. I stand to argue that Lowry + Morris + Thabeet is a better deal than NJ's offer of Brook Lopez and picks for Dwight.
