Chemistry doesn't matter when you are staring down Paul/Kobe/Dwight Rockets will never make the NBA Finals for the foreseeable future.

So maybe Paul is looking at this the wrong way, what with all his talk about suing Stern and the NBA. Maybe he should announce publicly that he is relieved and that he never wanted to go to L.A. If Stern thinks he is sending the guy somewhere he doesn't want to be BOOM, the trade gets approved.

I don't think you understand. The Rockets got screwed, and not by the Lakers or Hornets.

I think the most flabbergasting thing to me is how many Rockets fans think this trade doesn't significantly improve the team. If you have the chance to get an elite big man in the NBA, you do it, especially when you have no size at the center position.

The other thing I've learned is that this board overrates Kevin Martin. He's a nice player, but not worthy of the pedestal many put him on here.

Yes thank you, another out of a few who share this perspective. The new rules, in regards to Martin and Durant specifically (who use it quite often), states that if you're trying to draw a foul with a defender's outstretched arm(s) it now results in an offensive foul (from what I understand). His incredible efficiency will really suffer because of this change.

    PG: Lowry/Dragic
    SG: Lee/Budinger
    SF: Budinger/Morris/T-Will
    PF: Nene/Patterson
    C: Gasol/Nene

    Sick team, bro.

    No Dragic, only Flynn.

But yeah, best froncourt in the league.

If I was Morey I would strongly consider quitting my job. Works for months building a plan that was coming together just to have other owners come and pull this nonsense....

He's probably really drunk right now and about to smash Stern's mailbox or take a **** on his doorstep. I would

    Months of planning just destroyed.

Gasol/Nene would of been the best frontline int he West.

WTF are we even supposed to do now?

    Sign Dalembert I guess?

But seriously, I was against this move if it was only Gasol we got.

But to find out later that we would increase our chance of getting Nene in the process, I was ecstatic.

    Now what's out there?

I doubt Nene comes to Houston. He supposedly wanted to play alongside Gasol and we would have offered him more money. Even if we amnesty Thabeet, we still won't offer more cash than the Nuggets.
