You typically have to GIVE up pieces to move cap space taken up by players such as Williams/Flynn/Hill.

What part of 66 game rental with a bad knee who will not resign with the team don't you get? If you can't grasp these very basic, very public concepts then you need to have your internet privileges taken away from you. If you were my grandfather I would take your car keys away from you and put you in a home.

Poor NO. The new CBA was supposed to address this prob w/ big market teams stacking stars from smaller market teams, but it didn't. Unhappy NBA team owners push Stern to set an example and prevent another Miami scenario (where were they then?)... Sooooo, in the name of 'competitive balance' and doing 'what's best for the league', NBA suits force NO (who only has 5 players under contract) to get left with nada damn thing when CP signs with LA anyway in July? The only thing they accomplished was destroying a team- that they own!

Something is seriously f*(<3d in the NBA

Miami guys all signed as free agents. And the league didn't own the team. Completely different dynamics. This involves the Lakers reducing what they pay in salary and causing the other owners to pay more and receive less (from lux tax).

I love how a player can have 1 bad series a year after 2 title runs full tough and clutch plays and be labelled "soft".

If he doesnt resign with the rockets, so what? Just of the top of my head knowing money and salaries, check this out and tell me what the great BMoney thinks about this.

    Paul to the rockets
Okefor and scola to the pacers
    Lowry,Hill,and Hibbert to the hornets

I know the pacers have about 20m in cap room. I know the rockets have to be within the 25% and so do the hornets. The picks and and other filler can be moved around, but doesnt that trade makes more sense short term and long term for all three teams.

Okefor, scola,Granger, and Hill are ready to win right now in indy and give that city some hope as a basketball franchise.

The hornets get an up and coming center in hibbert, and young gritty guy in lowry, and some would say still growing guy in hill, plus picks and cap fleibility.

The rockets get the superstar they need to build with. Paul,Martin,Chase,Patterson, and Thabeet is a solid starting 5 with potential. Paul cant go to Lakers in offseason because the lakers cap situation and he cant go to the knicks if they get chandler. The rockets could renounce thabeet and williams and have enough for howard. Thats a better plan to me than trading for gasol and signing Nene for 14m per.

The deal was so bad for Houston that Stern just couldn't bring himself to pass it. Thank you, Stern.

Should the trade involve Bynum going to the hornets?

What is ironic is that Dan Gilbert, the owner who lost Lebron James for nothing, absolutely nothing...is the one who is complaining about the move knowing fully well that the Hornets are in a similar situation that the Cavs were in only that they have a chance to prevent being blindsided similar to what happened to the Cavs. So based on hindsight, Dan never regretted not trading Lebron and his team getting blown out regularly by 20 to 30 points during the season. Just because Dan Gilbert got screwed he wants NO to get screwed as well.

My man 24 nailed it -- "The fertile area here is conflict of interest. When the league took over the team, they appointed a caretaker

    LarryCoon Larry Coon
...exactly to avoid that conflict. Now they've trumped the organization. The only way the league (and its owners) avoid a conflict argument

    LarryCoon Larry Coon
...is by keeping an arms length through a trustee or manager, and that requires autonomy."

It's krazy @CP3 is not waking up a laker and it's dumb I'm not able to run that pick and roll with gasol smh sad disappointing day 4 NBA

    WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski
Hornets front office is unclear how it's supposed to proceed w/ CP3. Must they keep him? Search other deals? "Will learn soon," source says.

Getting asked by our players if they can change their vote on the CBA today. :)

    Happywalters Happy Walters
shocked by what NBA had done with the CP3 trade - players enraged.

Happy Walters is a big time agent who's most famous client is Amare.
