Lowry will be a top 10 point guard this year. Surrounding someone as good as him with capable (and tall) bigs would've been dynamite.

That's the point dude. If this team fails, it will bomb. Ask how many lottery picks the grizz have gotten with Gasol. How do you get a superstar? We have shown that we can't sign free agent super stars, the only other way is with high lottery picks.
My biggest question is, with Morey as GM, how long do you guys think will it take for the Rockets to win a championship? Morey has already been here years, how much longer do we need to wait until the Rockets become a real championship contender? Is Morey the right GM to take the Rockets to the top?
Not only Martin + Scola for Gasol is a rip off. They also include Gragic as to add insult to injury...and to finish it off in a executing style, they include the NY Knicks 1st round pick. LOL Morey really suck in this deal. I know he is missing Yao but Gasol is no Yao, he's soft and Nene is not a great offensive player. So basically, you have team that lack scoring if they trade went through. Let's see....Lowry is not that great a scorer, Gasol...well, the reason he's looking good is because of Kobe, Nene is not known as an great offensive player. So is Chuck Hayes. So basically you have a team that lack scoring. You will lose very easily night in and out. You don't trade Martin!! If you want to upgrade a team, you want to save a great scorer and hope that whatever you add improve the team.
Houston isn't sexy enough right now in today's NBA. Stern is turning the league into mlb where there are just a handful of teams every year capable of winning it all, while everyone else sucks.

Im all for the tanking direction. I think Scolas highest value is now. Time to move him anyways and find some draft picks in next years good class. If he is willing to move Scola and others? then get some high draft picks in next years draft and draft that player.
I'm all for improving the team, but Rudy T isn't the gm of some team willing to trade us Pau Gasol for Kwame Freaking Brown, or Kobe for Vlade Freaking Divats

I want to thank Daryl for trying. He really did almost get us one of the ONLY two-way big men in the game, arguably the best center in the NBA last year and during their championship run. At this point, I'm so discouraged by the arbitrary dictatorship of David "Mussolini" Stern that I just want to build through the draft. Let's get our own home-grown star.
