Cuban was one of the Owners trying to swing a trade for CP3. He loses out and then complains. Anyone else see anything wrong with that picture?
It was too funny, the perfect end for a crazy day ... Poor boy, I did not even explain why I was laughing. 5 minutes ago retweet Reply Favorite Luis Scola LScola4 I walk into a restorant and the waiter says "Wow, you're playing with Gasol! ... You'll be happy, right?" I do not know what face I expressed, but he insisted "Didin't you notice?" 7 minutes ago retweet Reply Favorite Somethin like that.
I think everyone else sees something wrong with that picture. It's hard to see how CP3 is traded now. Which effectively means, for him, he's getting screwed out of a lot of money. I'd definitely be pissed.
The basic problem with the trade is N.O. is adding long term salary and making it more difficult for the team to be sold and operated by an owner other than the league and it will keep losing money and costing all the other owners money. What the owners want, which is what N.O.'s front office should want, is to shed contracts and bring in young talent on rookie contracts, go to the lottery and get a good draft pick or two and be loaded with young, cheap talent that will make the franchise viable and sellable.
Well I am glad it did not go through. If scola gets traded, after 31 years of being a die hard rockets fan, I will no longer have a reason to follow this team. Guess I am hanging around a bit longer .
That thing with Stern and Paul is great, but someone should make one with Stern's face on Mutumbo blocking Paul, finger and all.
Some gems in that Artest thread. Pure joy all around the bbs. I even posted in that thread from my old moniker.
There is a minimum salary in the NBA. Hornets are below salary floor, so they have to take on contracts. Thhis trade would have put them right in the right spot near the floor.
If the NBA owns the Hornets, they are allowed to make basketball operation decisions on behalf of that team, right? In which case, Chris Paul and the Lakers don't have a case against them.
