He didn't do any of that last year in Detroit.

And we're talking about a reserve role here. Hypothetically speaking, even if he's injured here and there, the Hawks won't be depending upon him on a nightly basis. There's a HUGEEEEEE difference between the Tracy All-Star days and the type of role he's suited for right now. Don't act like you can't see the difference.

I refuse to engage in any of these TOF vs. Tinman Disciple mindless debates. The past is the past. Objectively speaking, regardless what your opinion of Tracy is he's still a capable player that can do a lot of things. As a basketball fan, that's all I care about.

That's right, nobody was CLUTCH in the playoffs. They lost in the first round. This site is Clutch fans, it was started by a guy named Clutch and he named it after a Rockets team that was CLUTCH.

Have you ever heard of Clutch City?

    This is what Clutch is:

    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/7uucgJScxgk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

You need glasses cause you were watching CRUTCH CITY

    Again, CLUTCH CITY:

Considering he's being brought in to help make up for Crawford's exit, I think you're going to be disappointed most days.

All it takes is for one person to be injured and they'll need to depend on him for a lot more than he'd be willing to give.

No matter...a lot of Tmac fans ranted and raved about how great he was going to do in Detroit...look what happened, 8/3/3 in almost half a game? If that's all you're looking for then I guess Tmac is your man. But considering the slow decline in his game I wouldn't expect anything more than that...it'll probably be less.

To the TOFs, they thought he was the second coming of Adrian Dantley (pause... TOF.. typing goooogle on the cheap ass Acer computers)

YOFs got defeated, so will the TOFs. That's right, it was the past and these munchkins keep trying to alter the past and say it was some success or make some ancient alien theory on why Tmac has never led a team anywhere.

The TOFs act like this guy is Michael Jackson at Bucharest. Singing chorus of "Will you be there".

He ain't Michael, hell he's not even Tito or Jermaine.

    He's LATOYA. TOFs.. he's LATOYA.

The TOFer said that the Tmac was implying that the 22 game winning streak was because of Tmac.

That just proves they never watched a Rockets game in their life.

The 22 game winning streak showcased our great new talents at the time like Carl Landry, Aaron Brooks, Scola, and new Rafer. It showed that Yao and Tmac don't need to hog the ball anymore.

It showed that RICK THE MUTHAFING RULER was a BADASS COACH!

In a basketball standpoint, would you think the Hawks are willing to trade Josh Smith for Roy Hibbert?

I think it makes sense for both teams allowing the Pacers to sign another center with Josh Smith.

he's turning into a nba journey man like jimmy jackson or chris gatling.
of course, they didn't have an shoe endorsements or walking dead like fanatics following him.

Hey I actually enjoy that show! On a lighter note, I certainly wish Tracy wasn't so outspoken and arrogant with he declares this and that. I understand this person was a great player at one time and I rooted for him too but he definitely shows he doesn't like to think about things before he says them. It definitely hurts his value as a player around the league and given his track record I'm not surprised he wasn't signed by the Heat or the Bulls. Both those teams are a player away from being the team to win the East for the next few years.

(No given all the talent the Heat have in their big three, I still think they definitely lack leadership on that team. They'll definitely have a better locker room with Shane on board though, best wishes to Battier!)

If you watch him play he hardly even looks to create his own offense anymore. He plays like much more of a facilitator now -- which is fitting considering he's essentially their backup PG at the moment.

The Hawks aren't bringing him in to score 15 PPG off the bench. They'll need to create depth and find offense elsewhere.

The Hawks would do that deal in a heartbeat. The problem is that trade makes little sense for Indiana. Quality five's are far too scarce. Not only that but their salaries are nowhere close to matching.

Best bet for the Hawks is to look to flip Josh Smith for youth and depth. A 2-for-1 that nets the Hawks two quality rotation players would be ideal.

    I already know this answer.

You didn't like Rick the Ruler right? cause he stood up to your hero and put him in his place

then Morey, you obviously don't like him cause he GRANTED your hero his wish..

you didn't answer the question. i'm asking because rick adelman and daryl morey did not get along towards the end of adelman's tenure with the rockets so i'm wondering who you support more?

i know you love rick adelman but i'm not sure how you feel about daryl morey.

so, are you a rick adelman fan or a daryl morey fan?

    I'm a 99er. Rocket ONLY Fan.

I support Rick and Daryl. How you like that? Both of those guys helped in getting rid of Tracy McGrady out of Houston so Tracy can bring his magic to the city of New York and the Rockets can move on.

Daryl is trying his best, I respect that.

It wasn't Morey who got rid of Rick Adelman.
I've accepted that Rick, a hall of fame coach who's been to the finals twice, is gone.

Both Morey and Rick had to deal with Yao/Tmac, that hand was dealt to them.

It's going to be a new deck, actually looking forward to the new season.

Is he going to fill the Crawford role, or the back up point role? I'd like to see him handle the ball as the leader of the second unit. Hinrich can spot up and benefit from Tracy's PnR prowess. It should be a good match if Mac can keep up his play from last year.

I quite expect him to fill the Marvin Williams role.

Been thinking about it all night, I expect Marvin Williams to be moved for peanuts and J-Crawford resigned.
