I think they could make a good argument that they shouldn't be adding so much salary to a team that is in such bad shape the NBA had to take it over. They were adding a huge amount of payroll.
On almost every other trade Morey has made, there was never this much info leaked out in the media for the shear chance that something like this would happen at the last minute.

He sort of did, he said trade Martin and Scola to other teams for picks.....to clear space for the young guys, rebuild through the draft, not by getting a 31year old center. DD
That is what you guys say after every trade smh. You guys all seem to have this deluded idea that a star will fall into our laps for peanuts or through free-agency or through the draft (when Les never tanks). I just don't understand the majority of Rocket fans anymore. This deal was what we needed. Teams who have legit stars do not want to move them, especially for aging mediocre players.
