ok, this is ridiculous. I don't like the trade and I don't like the message it sends, but if a team wants to be raped and pillaged, the NBA shouldn't get involved. This isn't MLB. @#$% this and the horse it rode in on.
WHY DA F DO TEAMS CARE ABOUT THE HORNETS?????? THEY ARE GETTING CONTRACTED .. SO WATS ALL THE FUSS ZZZZZZZZZZZZ
How is this even fair when the league owns the Hornets? Owners of other teams can't vote on what another team can and can't do. Can they?
If Chandler signs with the Knicks... its just setting it up even more. Paul will sign as a FA in the off-season with the Knicks with whatever paying contract that works... and it will be Melo, Amare, Paul, and Chandler... wow, simply wow. Well played Knicks, well played. This is only a 1/2 season anyways. Then you get all of the off-season and beyond to shine!
Yes, but you can't come in AFTER THE FACT and use that logic. If owners didn't want the Hornets to make deals while owned by the NBA, then SAY SO from the beginning. Hell, they just spent six months bickering over collective bargaining issues. To only make a big deal of it after a deal they don't like is what's ridiculous. If that's allowed to nullify it, I'm done.

It is also a question of whether or not Gasol will fit in with the team. Zach Randolph was written off by almost everyone in the NBA and he is far less athletic and less talented than Gasol in my opinion, before he had a breakout year with Memphis. He was filled with an athletic supporting cast that caused trouble for other teams. And of course its also a matter of desire , belief and confidence. If Gasol has his mind and heart in the right place , he can still be an all star in the NBA.
THIS IS TURNING INTO A FARCE.....MAN MARK CUBAN WENT OUT AND CRIED EVEN ABOUT THE LANDRY TRADE... FAAAAAAAAAH. JUST LET THE TRADE GO THROUGH ALREADY!!! NO MAKES OUT GREAT IN THIS DEAL ANYWAYS

No, NO was the loser of the proposed trade. Yeah, they got some nice players - but they weren`t gonna go anywhere with them. And they were all getting old. A late first rounder, no young talent - they gave up a star player (and perhaps Okafur) and got several good players in return that would make them the rockets of last year. Not a place they want to be in I believe. The Lakers were the winners of the trade and it wasn`t even close. NO got a lot of good pieces that they don`t need at this point in time, and the Rockets would still be missing 2 pieces (a center and a real good scoring 2).
