Track record? Has he really been able to do all that much other than trade away players nearing their prime for role players?
What all these additional tweets SHOULD be telling us is that this deal is not done yet... it's still a somewhat fluid situation if the reported "done deal" doesn't work under the cap at all.
My exact sentiments... Unless there's more to come, it looks to me like we're in rebuilding mode, so why give up the draft picks?
You must have not seen the 2012 NBA Mock Draft Do you realize how many first rounders stayed an extra year in college( because of the potential lockout) Next years draft will be loaded from top to bottom Morey is a fool
I just totally feel the same sentiments towards this primma-donna d-bag of a barbie-doll. This guy was my 3rd most hated player in the NBA after Fisher and Bryant. I hated this @$@$ with a passion. @$*(@$@...d@#$@-bag begone before the end of the season.
If that happens and I was Luis, I would knock the crap out of Fisher on the very first play of practice.
I think Morey has already said himself that would be a quicker route to being a contender. I'm tired of this franchise playing make believe. That we just helped lakers immensely is just icing
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3513/career;_ylt=AqAjnsbVlj5sERygi00KJuCOPKB4 He had almost identical numbers in Memphis to LA. He didn't look any better at all, really. Pau is/was the same guy. He just won more because he had a better team around him. You're right that Pau by itself can't lead a team to contention. But he's proven that he is more than capable of being the No. 2 guy on a champion, even in today's world of stars teaming up. I don't think the Rockets had that guy on their roster this morning, and I don't think they gave up their biggest assets to acquire that guy via this deal. Maybe it doesn't work out, the roster stays as is and Pau stays as the No. 1 option on a 45-win, No. 8 seed. But I now at least have hope. This team is conceivably one move away. I didn't feel like that a day ago.
u dont think gasol can fetch us a pick or two? or three? the point being, either we stay totally pat and just get YET another 14th pick, or we blow thing mediocre squadron up and get a juicy top-10 pick next year. knicks pick is gonna be in the late 20's by all honest projections. (they got chandler now too) . morey probably will be looking to buy a top 2nd rounder for those purposes.
I see Lowry, Lee, Morris, Gasol, and either Deandre Jordan or Dalembert Pretty solid defensive team. Built around gasol in the post
