The Gasol bros don't really work well together when the play for Spain. I'm not a believer in Nene. I think he's a mistake for the Rockets.
Because Pau + Morris/Patterson/Lowry/Lee is a more attractive trade offer then Scola or Martin and any of those player? I guess I'm wrong about the amnesty, but still, trading Scola and Martin for Pau could be a way of consolidating talent for a trade.
First of many moves. No one is saying that Lowry/Gasol/Nene is championship ready... It is a good foundation for DM to work his magic though...
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7...-los-angeles-lakers-pau-gasol-houston-rockets This is all speculation then. They have no idea whose on the table and are just guessing...
Agree. Trading scola, k-martin, and 2 picks for "older" gasol is bad move. And letting the Lakers give up basically nuthing for CP3.
As long as we don't trade our young assets or picks, I can deal with it provided it gets the Rockets a top center.
I'm just saying, when will people get tired of us being average? Despite this trade we will be average.
I used to defend Les, but not anymore. If this trade goes down, it's obvious that short term regular season success is more important to him than eventually winning a championship.
two bigs that could each score 20 and a bull dozing PG who just found his stroke from 3. I like it. It's better than Martin jacking up 3's and Scola getting out rebounded
It said EITHER Martin or Scola. Morey would make out like a bandit if he got Gasol for just Scola and picks.
i just heard a guy in the espn forums saying the celtics just got paul... idk but this is distracting me from my finals.. thank you rockets.
From above article: Hmm... One or the other sounds much better. I'd love to see them be able to hang on to one of those guys.
haha not until both are injury plagued you know it all depends on the supporting cast to keep 'em healthy I wouldn't bet on it There is a downside to the star ridden team
this man will keep his job for another 15 years using this sort of logic. "it's all just setting up for the next move...and the next move...and the next move." there is nothing worse in the NBA than mediocrity. nothing.
