100% agreed. This would completely strip our entire team. If Gasol was 24 years old, then maybe yes, but not at 31-32.

I hate to see BOTH Martin and Scola go, but if we get to clear some cap space for other talents, it'll make this a much better deal. Besides, Pau Gasol is a helluva player.

My reservations relates to what combination of young player and draft picks we are talking about in addition to Martin and Scola. Not that anyone of them, by himself, is indispensible (though I really want Patterson to hang around), I mostly just don't want the Rockets to be stripped so bare that they have no one to replace Martin and Scola's minutes.

Gasol is one of the best bigs in the west hands down and all yall so called rocket fans who think we should keep Scola and Martin instead of getting pau gasol r so damn stubborn 2 realize that we r getting one of the best bigs in the west

you basing that on what facts?
Chris Paul and Kobe Jellybean's are more injury prone in my opinion

READ MY POST! every source has stated that Morey is willing to trade for Chris Paul WITHOUT a commitment to a long term deal

I think Martin is the one that can be more easily replaced. Start Lee but trade for a bench guy like Delfino or a sign and trade for a player like Dunleavy. Those are wings that have experience running the offense McHale will play.

I'm worried about Nene. He wasn't a good defender until last season when he was surrounded by 4 guys with noted D. I'm wary of his off the court history. Houston's a whole lot seedier than Denver.

gasol is not a franchise guy. he did nothing in memphis when he was the focus of the offense.

That would classify as the Lakers without Kobe. That's what we would become. Maybe better if we added that superstar.

So we give up all of our assets, make the playoffs and loose our draft pick to New Jersey, then CP3 walks at the end of the year. Great plan.

50 wins, 48 wins, 52 wins with absolutely zero talent around him. Yao at least had McGrady.

Not necessarily. CLee isn't the scoring presence that KMart is, but trust me when I say he can bring more to the table than Martin can. He's showed it already in backup minutes this past season.

Martin and Scola for Gasol isn't bad at all, the draft pick is what Im worried about.
